Tyne Dock Part 11 Ticket office Facia No433

The second phase of the build has started, with a new set of wall and a ticket office Facia. while most of this construction is a repeat of the last building. we only focused on the ticket facia.

I have learnt a great deal from you over the past years and will learn even more in the coming years to help me improve my modelling skills. Morning Tony, sorry I'm late this week its been incredibly busy. That is some great progress again this week such a difference this building makes to the station complex. Loving the whole facade of the booking office, it is very effective and brings a huge amount of character to the station. Really like the way you built up the stone work, it's very effective. I always thought the architects and indeed the railway companies put a lot of effort into making their building look as impressive as they could, it wasn't all about saving money. With the letting picked out in gold, it adds a new dimension to the whole building. That other Tony doing the doors and windows in I'd quite good I'd give him a job if I was you. We were in Surrey this last week, and we had a visit to Kensington Palace, what a interesting day that was, spent a bit quality time with the grandkids and a bit of babysitting for them, it was a good week. Hi Eddy. summer months are always very busy times, as we are finding ourselves going out more, and less time on the railway. Hi Tony another great set of buildings for Tyne Dock Station coming together. I think the North Eastern is the most individual layout on KZbin with all your bespoke scratch building skills. Still say it is due a visit from one of the model railway magazines. Hopefully one day soon Tony.

Hi Tony, looks amazing as usual mate, couple of bits of plastic and cardboard and you create something marvellous. Sadly nothing done on Exehaven, I was away golfing last weekend and being the summer the garden needs attention and with my mum on her own now she needs more of my time. Dear Tony, absolutely marvelous how you did the ticket office counter! Love the stone work around the ticket office windows. Such great details to add to the Tyne Dock station. Especially where these features will be in full view for the operator and spectators. Another lovely aspect of the ‘new’ rendition of Tyne Dock is the see through vista which will change the perspective on the mainlines in the back. Can imagine this will create plenty of interesting angles, whether on inbound and outbound trains for Tyne Dock, or those which pass the local station on express service to further locations. Very curious for the interior of the ticket office, Sid’s office, the gals and the waiting room. Thoroughly enjoyed your vid. With the little story on Sid losing his key to his dog’s appetite, I was indeed sort of wondering if the watering of the flower bed had something to do with the reappearance of keys. That just as a little pun. Cheerio

I hope Sid can multi-task, with all of the work going on. I dare say the gents are relieved that the key to the conveniences has been retrieved. Mrs Simms will be able to to take solace in the ladies rest- restroom after one too many, after it is built. I expect the Grundies will be able to help out, using Barnaby to carry parcels and luggage, to and from the lift. Poor old Bert, the Station Porter has also complained about the lack of beetroot in his sandwiches, which is to be discussed in an election broadcast, by Sir Charles Postlewait, the local MP, taking place outside the gent's conveniences. .

My deepest apologies Tony. I can't believe I hadn't seen this until now. There is very little I can say about this video and the build that I haven't said before. I think I need to get myself a thesaurus. You work as always is stunningly immaculate in it detail and preciseness. I have come across one of those ticket office queue systems before. I'm unsure where though 😟 I must say that taking one look at that photo with the beautiful stonework had me wondering 'How the heck is he going to replicate that??' Shows what I know. Or more like what I don't know. You seem to have this inate ability to look at something and just know how to transfer it to 4mm scale. Do you by any chance take on apprentices? lol. A question about the lettering -- both above the ticket windows (@13:50) and on the station sign (@00:58 amongst the flowers) ... Can you tell us more about them, please ? Where did you get them ? If they're pre-made, who makes them? etc. Yet again, brilliant work !

Hi Timothy. the lettering are made by slatters. any model shop will have these. or you can get them on Ebay. they come in various sizes. 4mm 5mm or 7mm tall. i use the the 4mm and 7 seven. i hope this helps. many thanks Tony.
