Awesome video!! At 12:51 - would you really say the soloist is playing "new" material? In my head it's just playing the same R1/P1 theme as the winds with some fancy soloist embellishment. The first note of each bar is that descending idea, and then it culminates in a more roundabout way in bar 15. But if we're referring to any material not directly the same as previous as new then I understand, it's always tough to draw the line.

Thanks for your question! I think youre right, "new material" is probably not the best way to describe it. As you say it's really the soloist embellishing the primary theme, but as it didnt appear in the ritornello exposition I would probably say having it's own label (S1:/P1.2, the P1.2 specifically meaning it's related to P1) does make sense. you're also right in that it's hard to draw that line, because it's not really a new theme, it's not really a display episode/sujet libre as it's so short, but it is also something distinct. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
