Welcome to Type O Negative. Each album is a journey into itself. Their first 2 albums: Slow, Deep and Hard and Origin of the Feces (a Not-Live album made to sound like a live album) you hear many remnants of Peter's previous band Carnivore (a great one to checkout as well). Popular here are Unsuccessfully Coping With The Natural Beauty of Infidelity, Gravitational Constant and more. For some humor, do a reaction to Misinterpretation of Silence and it’s Disastrous Consequences, it's only a minute, but worth a listen. Next up, Bloody Kisses (there are 2 versions of this). Most commonly known are Christian Woman and Black No. 1. but they are all good. This album is much different from their first two, and more of their final sound (but they are always evolving). Following up is October Rust. This one takes off from where Bloody Kisses left off. Most known on here are Love You to Death, Wolf Moon, My Girlfriends Girlfriend and more. To note, on here is the best Christmas Song of all times, Red Water (Christmas Mourning). The next album is World Coming Down. This is still very Type O Negative, but one of the most depressing albums ever. Opening up with White Slavery (about addition to cocaine) and songs like Everything Dies and Everyone I Love is Dead. Peter was in a much different place with this album, but it's great nonetheless. Creepy Green Light, All Hallows Eve, Pyretta Blaze, World Coming Down all great songs. Live is Killing Me follows next. More of a return to Bloody Kisses and October Rust. I Don't Wanna Be Me is a solid opener. Todd's Ship Gods is about Todd's shipyard where Peters father worked. I Like Goils a response to Peter's posing in PlayGirl, Nettie about his mother (who by this time had passed), Anesthesia and The Dream is Dead. Probably their least popular album, but one of my go-to's. To end it, we have Dead Again, their final album before Peter's passing on April 14th, 2010. Dead Again, September Sun, These Three Things, and rest of the album are solid. It's hard to find a bad song anywhere their catalog. There are also a number of covers across their albums. Slow Deep and Hard gives us their take on Black Sabbath's Paranoid. Origin of the Feces gives us their cover of Jimi Hendrix Hey Joe, retitled to Hey Pete. Bloody Kisses shows us their version of Seals and Croft Summer Girl October Rust has Neil Young's Cinnamon Girl. World Coming Down gives us Day Tripper (a medley of Beatles songs) Live Is Killing Me has Angry Itch Dead Again doesn't have an outright cover, but if you listen closely, you will hear Beatles Hey Jude in These Three Things. There is also a Least Worst of Type O Negative with various songs, and three additions It's Never Enough, 12 Black Rainbows and Stay Out of My Dreams Each album is different, but reflects where Peter along with Josh, Kenny and Johnny were at that point in time. One of the most under rated bands of all time, and definitely worth the time to listen. Edited: fixed one song title

Type O Negative has that sound that puts you in a trance when you close your eyes, at least it has that effect on me. It puts me in a melancholic place but theres also sense of power I feel. Does that make sense? You HAVE to react to Black No. 1 PLEEASSE.

I think most their big songs are their least known except for their fans. Though I really like 12 black rainbows and that was on the record that caused Peter to have a hate on with Roadrunner iirc.

This had a cool rock groove when it kicked in. The plinky piano part reminded me a little bit of some 90's dance tracks that use little melodies against a dance arrangement like ROBERT MILES - CHILDREN, or CHICANE - SALTWATER. Lyrically, I think you'll find some similarities when you get to GAGA's PERFECT ILLUSION (lead single from the JOANNE album). Then of course we have LINKIN PARK's NUMB among other songs with similar themes.

When you review Type O Negative make sure you always review the album or extended versions. Type O always has long songs, so a lot of their music videos they had to edit them down and you lose so much the original intent of the song. They're real tongue-in-cheek band so don't take some of the lyrics to serious. Review Unsuccessfully coping with the natural beauty of infidelity, Christian woman the extended version, love you to death, Black No.1 album version. They did a cover of Black Sabbath's Paranoid that is amazing. My girlfriends girlfriend, Red water, Nettie, and a Neil Young cover of Cinnamon Girl. They got many more Amazing songs after that.

If you have the time to react to it, Haunted is one of their greatest, if not the greatest song, they ever wrote. I've not seen many people react to it, perhaps because of its run time, but a fantastically gothic (in both the sonic, as well as literary sense of the word) track nonetheless.

Anesthesia, it's good song, and they have many. A song with a similar title is Anesthetize by Porcupine Tree, an 18 minute masterpiece. While everyone being stuck at home, it would great time to do a reaction of it. They have a lot of great songs in their discography, as well as Steven Wilson's solo work. The drummer Gavin Harrison is an incredibly technical and musical drummer, one of the best out there. Alex Lifeson wrote the 1st guitar solo in the track. If you do this track do the live version from Tilburd, Netherlands, it's actually better then the studio version it just has John Henry playing the solo.✌🤘
