I'm also a self preservation core 2 I'm basically core 2 sp/sx 279 and I'm also an ISFP by the way And I agree so much that this is very embarrassing to admit that I'm an sp 2 It's really embarrassing to come out and tell others my real type, but that's the strength of the Enneagram hahaha And at least I feel like, this has to be a pattern, people should really get embarrassed when they find their real type cause knowing the real self is embarrassing for most people (of course some people would be ab exception to this)

Embarrassment makes sense because countertypes are naturally more aware of their vices and virtues at the expense of having a conflicting flow between enneagram and instinct. So self-preservation twos will be more resistant to pride and tend more towards humility (i.e. be more prone to embarrassment) at the expense of interpersonal ambivalence.

ISFP and E2 is impossible. E2 is for cognitive extroverts only.

I am either 271 or 279 and I think an INFP. I can see how both types could correlate with sp2.

As I listened to you describe the self pres 2 I immediately got choked up and, as a true self pres 2, wanted you to help me on this!! (Certainly I can’t “grow up” on my own!) 🙈

This is so interesting! I’ve thought that I’m a sp 4 for a long time, but I do identify a crap ton with sp 2 as well. It’s very likely just the disintegration pattern but still it makes you wonder. 🤔

I never thought of myself as a 2 but came here after testing as this type and my mind is blown right now. Other 2s I know are probably the social subtype, the ones always out doing for others and disregarding themselves. Yeah sp2 describes me pretty well.

I’m a male sp2 who is 32 years old but tries to live a high school student . People always think im 7 but your descriptions is what hits me.. a sense of like unveiling of who i am (which i prefer show in some other way). Really interesting. I guess its rare for males or they mistype usually ?

glad to see a fellow sp2 male! i really do sometimes feel like the only one! i’m just about 26 and man i do not feel like it. i’ve even been told i look younger than i am. i’m still getting my life together while most people i know already have it figured out! feels like getting a late start on adulthood 😂
