Types of Curtain Grommets & How to Install

Curtain Grommets are often used at the top of curtains that slide on curtain rods. Sailrite carries two types of curtain grommets a durable plastic and a metal. In this video we will compare the two and show the installation process for both.

Do you know of a tool that melts the holes through instead of cutting? Or maybe you know where I can find one. It looks like a soldering iron.

Help!!! I just purchase curtain 3-4 months ago. As I’ve done in the past I washed these curtains and one of the grommets came off. It is a metal grommet. Can I reuse this or do I have to replace it?

I have no idea it depends on what shape the grommet is in and how it attaches to the curtains.

Most of the time you cannot reinstall a grommet.

I had to figure something out. It’s not a permanent fix, but I took a flathead screwdriver and stuffed the fabric back into the grommet.
