Hi Dave, what's the advantages of the Harvey map over the OS map for trail running/ hiking? Or do you prefer the OS maps?

There are pros and cons of each. I like how Harvey show ruined walls but dislike their 15m contour intervals. Only OS show access land which is a very useful feature. I think it is worth getting used to both Harvey and OS.

why do some OS maps have a yellow flash with the letters OL in them?

Those are the Outdoor Leisure series. Eg the Peak District, Dark Peak is OL1
