What about the cool medic? The guy that gives you an IV on Sunday morning to recover from Saturday night. The guy that gives you penicillin after you were out all night in Yongsan with juicy girls. The guy that treated your infected unauthorized overseas tattoo without telling the platoon sergeant.

i was kinda that minus med school. everyone always came to me for diagnosis because im usually pretty spot on. most stuff you see on a day to day basis isn't hard to diagnose if you memorize the most common stuff, Lacs, broken bones, STD's etc.

Had a black Corpsman named Agbiboa(sp)? from Africa. We nicknamed him "The Punisher". If you came to the aid station with any kind of abdominal issue, he would give a rectal exam every time AND he had hands that could palm two basketballs. Plus he never seems to trim his nails...

@ARCHIEzzle Archie! i have watched you and drip for a long time now. I wanted to serve after HS but i got turned down due to asthma. Then when i heard about the asthma waiver after i got my bachelors degree i tried to sign up again for the army and they said now i have too many mental issues because i developed panic attacks and i have been on meds. It honestly broke my heart both times and now i cant do anything but be proud of the guys that have done it...So thank you Archie your a great guy and you and drip made me want to try to get into the military again. It was not in my cards but you guys still became a great influence in my life. Thanks again Mike

The "human Guinea Pig" Medic. always there to lend an Arm to be cannulated, always there to act as a casualty with training. the medic that when they get an injury asks for every newbie to come in and watch him get treatment or asks for a volunteer "Hey guys I just got a laceration on my forearm while moving some trunks!, you there... go get the suturing kit, everybody gather round.." and starts making it into a full on lesson. The seniors know there must be something "masochistic" about this guy, but they don't stop him because it's "good training" :)

Well, there's the senior medic that's been in awhile and knows all the training by heart, and maybe has a quiet deployment or two treating sniffles and sprained ankles under his belt. He is super intimidated by, and still considers himself better than, the new medic who was an EMT for 5yrs before enlisting and has actually treated gunshot wounds, amputations, burn victims, fought a few junkies, pulled bodies from car wrecks, been shot at, and maybe even delivered a baby for stork points.

I was an AF Rescue medic many years ago. We didn't have CRO's back then as we were expendable. I hooked up with my wife who, at the time, was an L2.nurse We have three beautiful daughters. I'm not really sure I would fall into your categories but I would treat you first and the enemy later. When I came out I worked for the city of San Diego as a medic and became a Firemedic. After a couple of years I was done. I went into the corporate world and did well. I like your videos. Keep it up!

You forgot the "profile writer". You know, the Medic who just writes you any profile you want, he/she doesn't ask you what's wrong, rather, how long do you need a profile for! You- hey Doc, I'm all kinds of sick. Doc- how long do you need a profile for and what do you need a PT, shave, or light duty profile? You- umm, all of the above I guess!? Doc- ok, explosive diarrhea which caused you to get an infection on your face. Take two IB Pro a day, here is your profile (Shave, no PT and Light duty) for two weeks!

Fon't know why but TDY's and deployments seem to be the weirdest times for my health, first ever TDY I got a nasty cough, fuckin Doc came to my hotel room without me expecting it with his bag of miracles and took care of me, first deployment my roommate was the squadron Idependent Duty Medical Technician, first got there and was having a hard time sleeping due to my shift and the time zone change, came back from work one day and there was a prescrition of melatonin for me. Sec9nd deploymemt in 2019 pretty sure I got Covid but it was before anyone knew what the symptoms were doc came through with the really good cold medicine so I could sleep and wasn't keeping everyone else in the trailer up with my coughing. When I was woken up for a commander's call and passed out due to heat and dehydration doc was there. Thanks Doc.

The old schooler that reenlisted. Knows everything, always calm, knows how to fix everything with anything available. Possibly cross dresses when not on active duty(true story)

You forgot the Band Aid who is a medic who is so inept that he can barely treat superficial wounds lol. Worked with quite a few of those and they could never figure out why the soldiers would call them Band Aid and call me Doc lol
