Thanks so much. How much does an economical tandem box drawer unit cost, a 16"w x 21"h with two drawers, like Godrej ergo? Esp if we need to renovate old, on site made storage units to tandem?

Tandem drawers are fittings which replace drawer channels as well as the drawer woodwork (except the front). We do not use Godrej hence cannot comment on its price but you can go for Hettich or Ebco. Sizes are also standard depending on the depth.

Hi Sohel, PVC foam boards for kitchen framework for sure. They are heavier and more durable. In addition, they can hold screws properly and are more fire resistant compared to hollow boards. Like you would have understood, you can surely use them for your kitchen framework but they are more expensive compared to BWP plywood. Regards

@@simplyinteriors Nishanth, Thanks for your feedback. After deliberation, I'm going ahead with Bwp Marine ply for the kitchen framework. Hopefully it will last the test of time :) Now struggling to decide between Telescopic SS wire basket Vs Innotech/Tandem boxes for the kitchen drawers. Please do share your thoughts.. Your channel is amazing and personally learned a lot. I'm sure it's the same for lot of people. Keep up the good work and wish you all the success!

What is difference between gurjan 710 ply and marine 710 ply? Which is good? Also costs??

IS710 is the ISI standard. Please consider that only. Gurjan is a very misused word now since its basically a chemical found in some ratio in almost all tree species. Gurjan tree itself is very expensive and not used to make general plywood but "gurjan" is used by all plywood brands nowadays since the wood will have some gurjan content anyways. It usually makes the untreated wood a bit darker. For you, you can go for either option.

Which is among acrylic, laminate, PVC Laminate, PU paint and vener are considered to be good finish for a working Kitchen in an apartment. Need the same to be durable at least for 10-15 yrs with easy maintenance.

I suggest acrylic polish as the best if price permits. Or polyester. Acrylic sheets (those 1-2mm) things stuck on ply should be thrown out. Rest are all good depending on the look you want.

Please check the treatments that the ply has undergone. An ISI standard can help with this. Neem wood itself is strong and good for home woodwork.

Moulding on shutter which is low cost is done on particle board with membrane finish. We do not recommend that.

Definitely not particle board. That is good for office interiors and not for homes. If you want to go for mouldings, go for hardwood with polish but that could be prohibitively costly. Other option is to try HDHMR shutter with simple pre-made moulds and you can polish them with either PU or liquid acrylic.

That will be a bit costly. You can also use PVC in which case you will not need laminates. Do this only for frames though.

We do not use or suggest WPC. It comes with no warranties and is said to be harmful for health over longer periods when exposed to hot environment.
