No, palindromic sequence is any type of sequence that will be same as upstream or downstream, but recognition sequence is a sequence which helps enzyme to recognise the restriction site, to be noted a restriction site may not always have palindromic sequence.

swarna sayana mostly one recognition site is the best for cloning or else the cloning process is much more complicated...Good day

1/4^n ..it's the formula for finding frequencies..n is the number of bases in the recognition sequence..for example, if some Restriction enzyme cuts a 4 base sequence, then the frequency of the sequence/site will be 1/4^4 .
