I have friends who play trumpet and this is so spot on. As a bass clarinet i sit and wait for my director to help the trumpets a LOT. So ive gotten the chance to observe them and their personalities.

Learning another instrument is much easier once you’ve learned one that plays in the clef imo. I first learned to Play the trumpet then I managed to teach myself a few songs on piano afterwards. You’re right about everything else tho.

There's a guy that was the lead for the One O'Clock Lab Band back when I was in college, I think his name was James Blackwell. The guy is/was a freak of nature. Playing above a C all day and looked like he was just strolling down the street. It was nuts and I'll never forget it! Like I can not impress upon you how easy he made double G and higher look. Like if you didn't know that the lead stands in the center you would have no idea who was screaming up there. Anyway, hope that guys doing well.
