Great video! This is actually something that I have been brainstorming about for quite a while... I very much enjoy typing on my Typestar 7 but I haven't yet built a way to hold my paper rolls. This is definitely food for thought for my design!

Thank you so much for your review! I'm shocked you produced a video so quickly, I was expecting weeks to go by. Whole family and I watched it moments ago. I will be posting these on Thingiverse now and am working on a way to get a paper tear function incorporated. Once posted, I'll include a link here. Never thought about using the roll backwards on a manual typewriter, that was inventive. Cheers and happy typing!

Hi Joe, I'd like to know what brother's looked like, the EP-43 I got, like you, has that order form, and yeah, lol, there are paper roller holders on there... I am absolutely loving Thermal Typewriters, what I do is when on days I'm stuck in bed, I use mine there, the EP-20 during the Day, (Nostromo from Alien, and the Dark Knight EP-43 at night. Both are awesome, love using them. Though I do think had I found the 43 first, at the time there wasn't one on eBay, or one at a descent price. I paid $9.00 for the EP-20 and $24. and some change for the EP-43. Thank you again my friend for sending the information and yes thank you holding Shift 2 and BS brings the carriage or printing head back. I also use my thermals when I'm living in the car lol not really living in the car. I'm just stuck in the car taking family to doctor appointments of maybe mine and I go early, and I'll write in my car. Daughter does Ballet for 2 and half hours so I love taking her lol and waiting, like a mini writers retreat. And like I said the weather clears up and stays dry enough, I'll go in an adventure and write in the woods. There is a beautiful and awesome Park that Pays historical respect to the civil war. Paved walking paths with a bench here and there, it's magical. Love to take some pictures and send them to you. Okay, trying to keep this short. Always a thumbs up from me, and sharing the channel. I'd like to recreate or reproduce civil war writing, or what it might have been like, course I don't have a typewriter, I do have an ink well and pen...or maybe just write on thermal and write what I feel being in a heavy civil war area here in Eastern NC. Great idea. But I think you should use the slot in the back to feed a continuous roll of paper like you used in the video and load a single sheet of paper from the top of the typewriter?

I need to get on that. Actually, it’s a bit more complicated that the knob for the Brother EP43, the design work would be “interesting!”
