I ordered and received this recently. It is amazing to use and makes my video efforts so much better. I fly for fun and do share the videos with friends and others to share the experience. Great product.

Hey Patrick, great little invention with the Steady Drive device. Yuneec doesn't know how fortunate they are to have you review their products and come up with a few extra accessories that add benefit to us Typhoon H Plus pilots. The H Plus doesn't get enough exposure with DJI being the top dog in drone sales. Due to the fact that the Phantom 5 hasn't come out yet and who knows if it ever will, the H Plus is the best bird to consider based on the 360 degree 1" camera that turns unobstructed with the gear retraced. It even compares favorably to the Inspire 2 for much less money. I'll watch your video on the Steady Drive a few more times and probably order one after I figure our how it will fit into my 107 client missions.

Wow wow wow thank you so much. Because of your video series I purchased a typhoon h TODAY and when it arrives I think I will order a steady drive as well. Your videos are so educational and thank you for not talking to quickly. One request please can you do more videos about setting up the st16 controller and explaining all that it can do. Thanks again your fan from the UK.

I’m considering buying a Yuneec Typhoon H Plus and while doing my research I came across your KZbin Channel. Your channel is super informative and through your videos you’ve answered all my questions. My situation is that I’ve seen lots of videos where drone pilots test flight time on one battery. But I haven’t seen anyone conduct flight endurance tests with the Typhoon H Plus (or any drone for that matter) where 3 or 4 batteries are used back-to-back in immediate succession to gauge engine overheating, performance, etc. Are you aware of any such video? And if so, could you please point me in that direction? Thanks much!
@buelle1093 жыл бұрын
While I have not done a video of what you ask, I have done this on many occasions, three flights back to back with only the battery change in between. No problems. Average flight time with a new battery and good conditions is 18 to 20 minutes. Keep in mind - max temperature of the aircraft, battery bay, engines and so on is reached after a flight when the aircraft sits on the ground - all of the components begin to heat sink. I have used a laser thermometer and confirmed this. The aircraft is the coolest when running and max temps are reached easily within a minute unless your in freezing temps.

I'm pretty new to drone photography. I've watched several of your typhoon H videos and appreciate your detailed explanations! Thank you for the time you have invested in your videos! Do you know if it is possible to set up, with the typhoon H, a predefined course and take georeferenced photos that may be stitched together? Looking into making large area 2D aerial photos that are georeferenced.

Sir, I have kept an eye out for your content, and I would like to thank you for the time you put into your channel. ND Filters? If so which?
@buelle1095 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I have a set of the Freewell Filters. Unfortunately Free well no longer makes them but you be able to find a set at some dealers. The alternative is to use the adapter ring supplied by Yuneec that will allow a standard male threaded type of filter at 40.5 mm.

Patrick, thank you for sharing your knowledge on the typhoon. What is your recommendation on 107 certificarion? There are so many online courses out there. What do you think is the best way to get certified?
@buelle1095 жыл бұрын
You're welcome, glad to make these videos. As for the 107, I self studied. I know there are a lot of great courses and the prices have come down dramatically over the past three years but I decided that I wanted to really understand the material and to do that, I just downloaded all the necessary PDF's right from the FAA site and began to study. I also found some practice tests and regularly used them. I guess if I was going to take a course I might go with Remote Pilot

What is the yellow tube on the landing gear? Thank you.
@buelle1095 жыл бұрын
Hello, that Yellow device is a water recovery system called 'Getterback' - there is a link in the description above. It basically has a float that deploys should the drone encounter water and the float goes to the surface and there is a line attached that will allow you to recover the drone from depths up to 100 feet. It won't save your drone but you might be able to recover it should it ever land or fall into water.

Hi again I have a question I noticed your link to the battery adapter charger plug at Amazon says it is for a typhoon h not a plus. Does it work OK with the plus? Because I noticed there is a banana plug for the H and they are on backorder and the balance cord looks different please let me know what the case is as I already ordered the one from the link here. Thanks again

The charge leads for the Plus are indeed different that those for the standard Typhoon H.

Hi I'm new to drone flying and at the moment I only have a MJX Bugs 4W its good for a beginner but the picture quality is not great with it only having a 1 axle gimble, I really like the Yuneec Typhoon Pro, and can see its a great drone, would you recommend it as my next drone, I'm not worried about the price but don't want to get my next drone and regret buying it, any thoughts would be appreciated, ive had this drone for 5 months.
@buelle1095 жыл бұрын
The Typhoon H Pro (not to be confused with Typhoon H Plus) as well as the standard Typhoon H's have been discontinued. However they may still be found at some retailers. The Typhoon H and H Pro are a good intermediate level drone with a decent 12 mega pixel camera, I used mine for two years and it performed well. The Typhoon H Plus was released here in the US a year and a half ago and it is a superb platform with a 20 megapixel camera and improved flight software. I still have my Plus and it has performed flawlessly for me. Yuneec is slated to release the H3 but the exact date is unknown, it will be very similar to the H Plus but they have partnered with Leica and the H3 will have a 20 megapixel camera with a Leica lens. To date there is very little imagery from the new platform outside of Yuneec's own website, so time will tell if it is any better than the H Plus and 520.

I have noticed very fluid movement panning down/up in your videos. I have ruined many shots with the H because of the gimbals quick and rough tilt speed. How do you adjust this? This is the only drone that is a problem for me in this area.
