Well i understand you Cmrd if you dont live here :P We have those prisces here is for Norwegians since we earn much more in salary than in other countrys we have about 29,84 dollar for 1 hour of work and we work usually 8-10 hours a day that is why the prices is so high here it is based on our income! And of that income we pay about 24% in tax to the goverment so the rest we can use freely! And for that high tax the goverment offer us free hospitales, doctors all is free of no cost only a little fee we pay for this is about 10 dollar each time you visit one ! And if you use more than 200 dollar a year in medical bills then you get a freecard and all is free no cost at all in hospitals or doctor the goverment pay all! even medicines is free too all pills and things is free of cost! And i find this really nice no insurance or anything do we need for our health the goverment pay for us :) Only because we pay a little more in tax than in other countrys it benefit "all" peoples if they are rich or poor it dosent matter!

A few differences between what you have told us about Norway and what happens in Australia: in Australia, the person offended against might say “Oi!” rather than the offending person. Usually this would be between family member or friends rather than strangers and is usually half joking. For example, if one friend pinched a chip from another friend, the “victim” might say “Oi!”, as in “Hands off!”, but you would not expect them to give it back or apologise; it’s just being playful. We have a similar thing to you at the end of school (after the exams in our case). We call it “Schoolies”. People go to the beach in Southern Queensland or Northern New South Wales, get drunk and party all night. Sometimes there are creepy young men that hang around, hoping to hook up with one of the girls. Often they are tradesmen (“tradies”: plumbers, builders etc) so, in this context they are called “toolies”. We have a similar snobbery to your chocolate thing with biscuits. There are some, like a Tim Tams that are unique and delicious.

And how people treat it with respect and care. I loved that. Also, I was surprised to know there is almost everything available pre-cooked even the Christmas dish - Rødkål. Also I noticed that people are very sporty and fit, and there is a lot of outfits which are both comfortable and practical. People are very tall (majority) and I have never seen so much blonde people!...hmm, in general it was a very peaceful and nice experience. Being an introvert myself I found it pretty relaxing there. The people remind me of West Germans as they seem to be good citizens, wholesome and well adjusted even though the governments over taxes the people. Unlike recent German history, Norwegians do not seem quarrelsome or a dominating people. Overall, they seem to be a get along and live and let live people.

Do Norwegian ladies use Snus? In the USA our equivalent is referred to as tobacco (dip or chew) and sadly in my adopted home state females would use that disgusting stuff. Secondly, based on a TV series "The Deadliest Catch" one boat features a family with Norwegian heritage that definitely loves sea food so I assumed Norway had a strong fish based diet?

I think the really good chocolate you were talking about is from Belgium, not Swizzerland. Even tough I do still believe that you may be right about the Swizz also having having great chocolate. Belgium is famous for its pralines and that kind of candy... (fun fact: I'm partially English and partially Austrian/German, but after taking a DNA-test I found out that I also have some heritage up north... which includes all Scandinavian countries with the most percentage in Norway ^0^)

True that, nothing beats Belgian chocolate. Actually, the biggest producer in the world is Barry Callebaut, it's a Swiss company, out of Callebaut (Belgium) and Barry (France) Almost every chocolate producer uses this brand of chocolate as a ground base

When I was in Norway in 1964 this what I remember that was part of the culture. Weddings: singing personal songs about the bride and groom at the wedding dinner. Polka dancing until daylight. The groom family going on the honeymoon with the newlyweds. Alcohol: Norwegian love to drink and make homemade beer or Sugar Alcohol. Norwegian Sailors are very friendly. Oslo had no nightlife. Drinking strawberry juice was popular at all meals. All the children spoke English, but the adults did not. Norwegian language was easy to pick up and pronounce. Waterfalls are everywhere in the mountains. Trout fish , strawberry’s, waffles for lunch. The families are very close.
