They have been very predictable in their build up. I havnt seen Bernado even attempt to take on a player in that left position. Just dribbles a couple times and passes it right back. It was the same vs Arsenal. Predictable.

I love Rico, but he should focus on playing as a Rb, the man has a great engine and has had a great start to the season inverting but i dont think we should look at him as our future number 6 or 8, we have more talent coming through our akadamy and i think Rico suits that inverted role, leaving us with a solid back 3 of Gvardiol, Dias and Akanji which is what i would stick with, Rico has a bright future he just needs that experience

Now tell me Jonny when is Pep going to see and solve this defense weakness created byvhis type of play whereby we are often caught on the break and chasing opposition strikers broken loose thru the middle or wing? I find our defenders too pre occupied to make numbers upfront and playing the ball more tgan our strikers in the oppostion half. Yeah, Pep messed this 1 up. The starting 11 had no creativity, Gundo looked lost out there. Folden should’ve started the 2nd half & once New castle equalized it, Douku & Savio should’ve came on right away. Push Jack & Folden in the midfield sub off Bernardo & Douku & Savio out wings. I think we could’ve made better scoring chances with that lineup.

Hate to say it, but in the situation of an offside trap, even if the one player is in a smarter spot, it’s still his fault when he drags the line further back than the rest of the defense. Often, making the wrong decision as a team is better than making the correct decision alone. I still feel Kyle Walker is over hated, but I feel he was in the wrong here.

With all due respect, I love this channel but Doku and Sàvinho both started against Arsenal and didn’t do much, granted Sav got the assist , Jack Grealish earned his start today after he came on against Arsenal with about 10 minutes to play, and his creativity helped us get the equaliser. So Grealish deserved his start, and it paid off, arguably he was probably the best player out there with Josko. Every player fights for his place.

We can’t play on rodri not being there, he didn’t play 1st few games and we steam rolled teams. We play to high a line, become predictable and easy to play against if the opponents low block the shit outta us. Think we need to go back to the sane and sterling way we played. Too much was made about how horrible arsenal and their reliance on set pieces but there is à deafening silence on a conversation about how horrible city are at set pieces, when was the last time city actually scored from a set piece or defending one properly? Also lack of creativity and precise passing in the final third has nothing to do with rodri, the passing is so slow, movement of wingers and attacking midfielders is lethargic and haaland is making runs that are never picked up. Rico made those runs so many times yesterday and was only picked up once.
