Go Tyler… I’m not a fisher person, but I never miss a video because I learn about a subject I’ve never been introduced to - so thanks for letting us older, yet still curious folks into a world that many of us have never had time to explore. Never knew so many different species lived in southwestern American rivers n lakes. It’s endlessly fascinating, the subtleties of manipulating the gear to get ‘em. That's epic. the Sutherland res. Is a great place to fish and if you go to the diversion damn at the right time when they let water out into the Platt river there's decent trout to. I used to fish there a lot till we moved to Scottsbluff. Would love to see a video up this detection.

Wipers fight like catfish, but even more aggressively. I know, because I've never tried to catch them, but occasionally they'll pick up catfish bait. First one I ever caught came while bottom-fishing a big river with two enormous nightcrawlers on a 6/0 circle hook 🤣

It's not a wiper that you caught it's called a striper , here in MD rock fish , or striped bass , hence the stripes from head to tail
