WOW!! It seems like yesterday listening to the Hummingbirds and hearing my dad practicing with thier gospel group when I was a little girl. I hear my father singing all those parts clearly brings back special memories which has been passed on to my son who loves all the old quartet groups. Thanks Dixie Hummingbirds for making this special gospel music and thanks daddy for sharing with your 6 kids, grand & great children. At 91, poppie you still got it.

I came to Chicago in 1967. I used to wake up at 4:00am every morning listening to the Bill Docklee show highway to heaven. He used to play this song as well as all the other great gospel quartets singers music. I have been hooked every since then on quartets singing. To God be the glory.
