So the redhead who was talking about being on drugs and accidentally catching an STD has got to be the bravest guest ever. Even though what she was doing was wrong, Trya had no right to sit there and judge her. The girl did not look happy or proud about anything she did in her past and if anything seemed like a cautionary tale. Wherever she is now, I hope she has found some peace in her life.

@theothercrypt10 жыл бұрын
That shouldn't be taken as an insult. Thats just even more reason that this girl shouldn't be having sex and doing the things she's doing, Puberty can go until the early twenties and this girl is very obviously not completely "grown up". I agree with Tyra for saying she looks like she could be 10, because she DOES. Even if it was a completely altered situation, thats a very stupid comment to take as an insult. There are plenty of teens who look way younger than they are, just as well as there being many teens that look way older. It's not insulting, its life and its common and its who each person is.

I have a hard time feeling bad for the girls with the unwanted pregnancies because it could've easily been prevented with birth control or terminated with an abortion. But I guess their parents avoided those types of conversations -_- I wonder if their schools teach comprehensive sex education ?

Haven't they heard of CONTRACEPTION??!!! Like, pills, implants, caps etc?? America should really sort out their health system like the NHS, like free sex advices, contraceptions for everyone or something, instead of paying for simple things dammmnn.
@mouna32429 жыл бұрын
In schools there should be more social classes, that focus on empowering teens. Sex ed isn't really enough, because teenagers still go out there to have sex anyways. What about teens who are forced into having sex? Sex ed doesn't teach teens to say no to sex to others, if they don't want it. And it doesn't prevent teens from being manipulated from sex either. The social classes should educate the teenagers on empowerment and independence. With these classes boys would be more tolerant of a girls decision, and will not force girls into sex. And the girls will have confidence to say no and stick up for themselves. Then they wouldn't be in that mess. Having sex as a teen is always the wrong choice, the majority of teens are not emotionally grown yet. It might feel right at the moment to have sex, but 99.9 percent of teenagers having sex always leads to a emotional/physical problem. Whether its a unplanned pregnancy, to diseases or horrible experiences and regrets. Thats why there is so much abortions, because too much teens are not taking care of themselves properly and are making dumb mistakes.
@mouna32429 жыл бұрын
danielle fourtwenty I'm considering teens who don't want sex only. Not those who do. Not much is thought in sex ed classes to help the minority, besides preventing pregnancies.
@Jess-wp6pf9 жыл бұрын
you're an idiot! They are very much aware of the realities and still do it willingly! fact is teens will do what they want... a lessons will be learned once their wrong doings backfire and they suffer the consequences!!! They are saying they had sex at 16 so casually as if it's nothing! WHAT THE FUCK?! My question is : why did the parents feel comfortable enough to let their children share their underage practices on national tv instead of taking them to a psychologist or counsellor?! shame on them too!!! "we thought it was the right time".. bitch you're 16, you should be worrying about your exams and if a guy asks u to prom!!! WTF?! "oh i had sex in the school gym, i got an STD.. no biggy" Do you hear yourself?! Chlamydia at 14?! You're a fucking slut and the people who fucking praise them are basically telling them it is okay -,- AND ontop of all that, they kill an innocent growing baby just cuz they're fucking this person and that person, unprotected and under 16
@mouna32429 жыл бұрын
Jess 14/6/1992 Sorry but not all teens that have sex, actually want to do so. Peer pressure is the thing that gets teens to do things, they don't want to.. And it's peer pressure that makes girls accept to have sex, with guys of they don't want to. If the sex ed classes educated teens, on making the right decisions and stressing out their own opinions, then not so many girls would get pregnant.

@jojobutterball9 жыл бұрын
The point is, they're not old enough to understand the consequences and the responsibility involved. The girl who said she felt like trash said she did it to feel better. She wasn't aware of the reality, and the emotional impact didn't register until it was upon her. It's bad parenting, plain and simple. If your daughter doesn't want to have sex and feels like she has to- her parents have failed her. She has no self esteem, and it's the parents job to give kids that foundation, and teach your kids to stand up for themselves. It made me sad to hear that story... That's not demonizing the men- even though he sounded like a real punk... At least that one. But she needs parents who instill in her enough pride to tell guys like that to fuck off.

Yeah I don't like how she was blaming the red headed girl for not confronting the guy that gave her herpes. Basically saying it's her fault if he keeps spreading it around. Chances are that he knows and he may not care that he spread it to her. I do think the ideal thing to do is to tell him but we don't know anything about her relationship with this guy. All she is responsible for is telling future partners that she has it.

Those girls in the show are clearly nothing like I was at 16 years of age but I feel like it is wrong to think that a 16 yea-old girl can not be smart and does not know what love is. With all due respect, having only had 1 partner does not make you superior, better or more right than anyone else. Now I know you may not have necessarily meant for it to come across that way but to me that is how it read. Not all relationships work out so it is unrealistic to think everyone should have only had 1 partner or heck even 2 partners at that age.
@keladry10010 жыл бұрын
PrettyRose Kitty I think it is everyone's choice whether they wit until marriage, I think it is unfair to say women should wait until marriage though as not only is it a personal choice but it is pretty sexist to say it is only women who should wait til marriage (which is how your post came across). It's too late for me to wait til marriage, but I don't care I enjoy sex and I'm not ashamed of it. I perform safe sex and only have sex with men I trust and usually am in a relationship with, it is no longer realistic (in the west atleast) to expect all or most women to be virgins til marriage, And marriage does not guarantee a relationship for the rest of your life either, divorce rates are high, so you could spend half your life waiting for a partner til you are 30 years old and get married to a man and be a virgin on your wedding night and then that marriage could end up breaking down 10 years down the line...so what was the point in not allowing oneself to explore sex before marriage? Again it's a personal choice and there is NO one thing we should all have to do,.
@MADPunkyHeartLESS9 жыл бұрын
kel I don't think she's coming off as superior. She's just stating that she's only had one partner. If you're getting defensive about her stating that, then there must be some underlying guilt surfacing on your end. But, in reply to the OP, I, too, have only had one partner and I'm 21. I've been in a shit ton of relationships, but my current boyfriend is the only one who made it this far with me. I can't determine the future, but I have a feeling that he MIGHT be the one, or that we'll be together for a pretty long time.

When Tyra looks confused as she's explaining how it was for her as a teen playing mama instead of being one after the 1 in 5 data was revealed, it makes me think she might be a little too narrow scoped on that one. Throughout most of history women/girls were married young (about 15 the lowest if I remember in most cases) to maybe a guy ten years older to ensure that plenty of babies could be birthed from a healthy woman and man. Women typically (I understand that some people do not want children) have the urge to have children and raise them from a young age, in this day and age its not as encouraged to start a family when still a teenager. Now I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but from a historical standpoint, it's certainly not a new thing.
