I only tried sega games some weeks ago. Never had one and the controls in general feel weird compared to other old consoles like snes or NES. It doesnt mean you have bad skills. I sat thru this whole video! Amazing commentary lol I love all your vids I remember playing thru this game as the raptor alot. I always thought of that as the easy mode. Until I played this as an adult and realized I must have had alot more patience as a child to master the controls. Cause I fell to my death more than anything else that killed me in that game. I never played as Grant really, my older brother did and he tried several times to convince me it was the better way to experience this game. Of course we were kids at the time and didn't realize this was a bad game lol.

This game is definitely a case of style over substance. And even that style is questionable. The characters and environmental objects look good, but the backgrounds look like glitched messes. The dynamic AI for the dinosaurs is an interesting idea, but you hardly notice anything changed. The music is good...for the sound format they used to produce it. Compare it to any other sound format and it falls flat. And the gameplay? It's stiff, awkward and frustrating when it doesn't need to be.
