Love ya Xeno but Spudz is correct. After almost 10 years I've just come forward and reported my own experience to the police. But I have very little, almost 0 evidence. I delayed reporting out of pure fear, thinking I'd never be believed, and also from the sheer impact of the trauma and having to relive it all over again. I agree we need evidence I'm not arguing on your points for a minute because I actually agree with you. But I just want to say that there are more victims out there with 0 evidence than you'd think. Especially when it comes to grape or SA. Grape and SA crimes are not always violent either. These are things that happen in a most intimate setting where there are no witnesses. It's incredibly hard. For me as a victim having everyone say "we don't believe you" is incredibly hard, and a reason I delayed reporting to the police. In fact whilst I was in a relationship with my abuser, when I tried to reach out and tell people what I was going through, people sided with him and acted like I was a crazy woman. It was heartbreaking and traumatising that some people can just dismiss it without even taking the time to see. If you know the person intimately, if it's your friend or family member or they've been in your life for a while, maybe they don't have evidence but you can have a deep conversation about it, see what their body language is, can they give you details, how do they act and react? You can sense a liar a mile off in a conversation like that because nothing adds up. People who invent abuse make me absolutely sick, and they absolutely do. Often the perpetrators of abuse do this To discredit the actual victim. It's disgusting so I understand the entire argument of needing evidence. An outsider, a stranger could never know who's honest and who's not :(

I've always been under the mindset of that I'll believe victims but I'd still like proof. I'm a woman myself and I raid, I believe that a lot of my fellow women have suffered a lot of abuse and ignoring over things they can't control but there are vindictive people, there are people who just hate others and want them to suffer retribution for things in the past. imho in these types of situations stuff like arthars' comments about how "it takes two hands to clap" is not very productive because once again it puts the blame of being manipulated and led on by another person on the victim, not the perpetrator. I asked the guy to show me their dms on a discord stream... nothing. Not even her messages that were in the fake messages. Later I found out the girl was rejected by him and wanted to take his spot from him. She had made an alt to have a conversation with herself. You truly can't trust people at their word anymore. The “believe all women” thing was such a haphazard phrase and poisoned so many people without critical thinking skills. The reason that phrase exists isn’t because women are always right and telling the truth, it’s because they’re victimized more often than men. The phrase people should have used is “take all potential victims seriously.” But that doesn’t fit in a hashtag nicely.
@RiskOfBaer4 ай бұрын
It's not because it didn't fit the hashtag or didn't sound as catchy. It's because the goal WAS to have people believe all women without question, so they could do exactly what they did to Johnny Depp or Pro Jared. That was the literal goal, they just wanted the power to do that. And, of course, now it has backfired and the pendulum has swung the other way. Now people don't just question a woman who makes accusations without proof, they are actively less prone to take any accusations seriously because of all the fake accusation scandals. And you know what, good! That's what you get for actively misusing the power you've been given.

I think people heard the "parasocial" discussion too soon from Asmondgold. I think we need to go back to that for one moment from at least one CC in every gaming community. Cause from what I watched so far, at least three different community vastly different from one another, except they like anime in some way, all have a community that cares too much about what their favorite CC is doing with their signigificant others. Weither it be them fuckin' or fighting, the community gotta know. 🙃

This feels like deja vu to me as a Destiny 2 refugee. I kid you not, the Twitter community on Destiny 2 fucking hates the content creators (which I'll admit, a few like GernaderJake are assholes). Crazy to see it happen to the FFXIV content creators now, which are far more chill than the Destiny 2 content creators (excluding people like Byf and Aztecross. Datto I dislike because he comes off as an armchair game dev)
@DeusGamez3 ай бұрын
some of the hate is warranted though because from what i have seen most if not all the main ffxiv content creators are a bunch of hypocrites and liars and not to mention they are sell outs and flip on dime as long as the money keeps flowing in their bank account(s) SE says to jump and they will say "how high?" only real creators i've seen are sadly ones who were former WoW junkies (Zepla, Preach, etc) who had honest opinions with no pussy footing around the negative things or trying to dodge or deflect that something is bad etc. for fear of being "cancelled" by the "mobs"

I have never really seen much of your content just saw it sometimes popping up. I always thought u were a pretty decent nice guy from what i saw, And after seeing all the stuff on twitter i still gave you some benefit of the doubt. Maybe you used your words wrong or something like that however seeing the most recent clips (which came directly from your streams) any of those doubts are completely gone. Idk laughing at victims seem pretty vile to me and defending those abusers as well doesnt seem right to me. And there is so much proof of them being terrible people like the amount of screenshots i see flying by. I am a guy and even i feel genuinely uncomfortable by them. I will probably never understand why you would rather defend these abusers instead of being against this sort of behavior and support the victims instead. even if you dont agree with the victims i think its really strange to cheer for the abusers in general.

@chelsthegameruiner86694 ай бұрын
@@XyrenosMight have to do with how it works now. In ShB, people would wait for players before pulling the boss whereas now (at least on my DC), people rush the train and it often results in people missing on the rewards since the game can't load in everything at once. It's definitely more frustrating now because I'd love to get the mounts but people rushing the boss makes it difficult
@Xyrenos4 ай бұрын
100% approval of his criticism from me then. The peak hour bullettrains are horrible if 200+ people rush around and you get stuck at the aetherite to change instances for too long you always miss the first mark. At least some trains let everyone change instance before announcing next target but I guess having 36 marks per train somehow makes people feel the need to rush it.

Here's a tip for the people on Twitter: If you want to get rid of content creators then DON'T harass them, because all they will do is take your actions and use it to generate yet more content. Content creators exist by the grace of their subscribers and viewers. So if you really want to get rid of these guys then the answer is simple - Don't subscribe to them, don't watch them and don't interact with them.

thats one way to go about it but if you really want to stir the pot and get a reaction out of them test their ego lol if they can't laugh at themselves or handle any criticism thats how you know you've succeeded in making them break.

Classic Twitter, people need to stop going into XIV(or ANY MMO) like a Dating Sim and a complete replacement to their social life. There are so many mentally unwell people who *live* in these kinds of games and will almost never come out of it on a positive note with all parties involved. There's the 1% that do, but that's such a rare occasion that doesn't apply across the board. Funnily enough, I've noticed with my time in the game through both witnessing and experiencing it that a lot of these people are heavily involved with the RP community. That's all I have to say on that, and I'm sorry to anyone that is currently involved; or interested, with that side of the game. Again, finding that good RP group is a 1% turning out positive just like with Dating in-games. TL;DR: Please step away from the game(or social media for that matter) when you find yourself bored or wanting more in life via a Partner or a Social thing and get out there in the real world. This game especially (and Games in-general) just isn't the place for it unless you're lucky.

Absolutely fucking facts. I quit RP'ing in the middle of Endwalker due to people being absolutely psychotic. I'm not sure how else to describe it, but that's what happened. I started in Stormblood, was a baby rp'er, then got big into it in ShB and I was having the time of my life. Then EW dropped and it's like everyone lost their damn minds. I remember once I got reported due to using the wrong pronouns on someone's character. Can't rp about anything, you're always in the wrong, everything triggers people, it's a clusterfuck. As you said, people need to actually go touch grass. XIV is NOT REAL LIFE. They need fucking help, badly. Now I just log on to do roulettes. Only do trusts in dungeons. Don't speak in chat. I am in nothing anymore in terms of the community. It's worse than any mmo I've ever been in. And for context, I've played wow and league for 10+ years. It's telling when I'd rather get called slurs by a couple of league players over the mental gymnastics xiv limsa afk'ers try to pull on you.
