I love the idea of just having people who live with you. When you put cards into your little pile in your headquarters. There’s something so profoundly funny about having a bunch of people who just live in an apartment and are worth points

I must admit I didn't see it that way but I guess promoting cards to your 'inner circle' can be interpreted as moving into your apartment! 🤣

"this is where you put your deck" Ooof, that accent though. :P

Oh dear, I really hope I'm not picking up a New Zealand accent after 10 years here. I'm Australian!

Man, I kind of disagree on the comment about it being kind of bland. I have many deck builders and this one is near the top for me. The whole "promote" mechanic is such a cooler way to handle the culling mechanic other deck builders use. You typically always want to culll the starter "weak" cards out of your deck, but this game turns that on its head. Having more powerful cards worth more points if you promote them adds some cool decisions. "Should I promote this card for 10 VP, or keep it in my deck to use it's powers but it's only worth 5 VP if I don't get the chance to promote it." Anyway, that mixed with the area control with the cool spy mechanic and the theme is just a win for me. Great video, as usual though!

That's OK - as I always say, these reviews are just my personal opinion. Those kind of decisions don't excite me a huge amount, but I can see it's clever and more interesting than your average deck builder.

If you mean Will, he lives in Australia and can't come over right now because of the pandemic. If you mean Dylan, we will still do the occasional battle report (see Dystopian Wars).

Extra Like for showing the old school module :) yes the graphic design is lacking. Edit: I think the names all come from the D&D Dritzz franchise
@EsotericOrderGamers3 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah, the names are definitely not GF9's fault - and it's possible some or all of the visual design was dictated by the licensee too, I should have pointed out.

Yes, all of the house names are right from the Forgotten Realms books.
