@bwetwy5714Ай бұрын
Everyone seems to miss why he was told to get out of the car and just blames it on the window. At 5:30 he says "Don't tell me what to do." You can see the officer being fine and telling him to keep the window down, then he realizes what he heard and tells him to exit the vehicle. Add in that he rolled his window up as the officer first approached his vehicle (slow down the video at 3:12 - it was open and you can see it go up as the officer began his approach). In combination with his previous actions about the window and his ID, this tells the officer with 100% certainty that this person does not want to comply with lawful orders, so for their safety he needs to be detained while they finish whatever they're doing. Just cooperate people - fight any perceived injustice in the courtroom and not on the street. P.S. In that same interview with CNN he said he could've just kept going to the stadium and didn't really need to pull over when he did - he clearly thinks he's above the law.

@bwetwy5714Ай бұрын
@@tonynembhard5167 Wow talk about a quick 0-100. Tyrant supporter? Really? I'm sure realize that society as a whole grants police increased authority in exchange for increased responsibility, and that authority includes the ability to give lawful orders to ensure the safety of themselves and those around them. Advising someone to follow lawful orders from a police officer during a stop is not supporting tyrants. You should read up on what tyranny actually is. It is a lawful order for a police officer to tell you to roll down your window during a traffic stop. The police need to be able to see into the vehicle to ensure there aren't any weapons that may be used against them. This is lawful and has been upheld by various supreme court rulings about whether or not such an order violates your constitutional rights. “Don’t tell me what to do is not a crime to say to a cop” - you're right, it's not. I never said it was, so you should re-read what I actually wrote. The police have the authority to control a scene of detention, which includes a traffic detention such as this one, so that they can ensure the safety of themselves and those around them. One facet of determining safety is understanding whether or not the person you're talking to will be cooperative or combative - if the person is combative and is not complying with lawful orders, then gives statements that they do not intend to comply with future lawful orders, then the police have full authority to detain them personally until the stop is complete. The officer is not *required* to detain the person, but they have the *full authority* to do so. You seem to not understand that police do in fact have more authority than you as a common citizen during a stop, and exercising that authority that's given to them by society is *not* tyranny. "Rolling your window up is not dangerous" - this is BS and you know it, just go look up the hundreds of videos of cops being suddenly shot during traffic stops. You are looking at the situation after-the-fact with your own rose-colored glasses - the police do not know who is in the vehicle or what their intentions are, so not being able to see through heavily-tinted windows is in fact a safety risk for the officer. Don't be disingenuous. "Hill complied asked for his ticket" - no he didn't, what videos have you watched? The only order during the entire incident that he complied with was to give the officer his ID. He didn't roll down his window when told to - he cracked it and rolled it back up. He did not exit the vehicle when told to. He did not sit when told to after being detained. He did not comply with multiple lawful orders. Also, he never "asked" for his ticket, he *ordered* the cop to give him a ticket. He has no authority to decide the outcome of the traffic stop, whether that's to be given a ticket or otherwise. Again, you seem to not understand that the cop does in fact have increased authority in this situation, and exercising that authority that's given to them by society is *not* tyranny. "Suddenly it’s about the window, then it was about his SAFTEY, then blah blah blah." - yes, it was all about the dark-tinted windows and the officer's safety right from the beginning. These aren't different things - the officer's safety is directly impacted by his ability to see into the vehicle. The stop occurred due to speeding. The entire altercation happened because of the window. There's no "suddenly" anything or "blah blah blah." You really need to work on your reading comprehension. "It was about teaching hill respect that’s what it was really about." - no, it was about officer safety. Hill or anyone else is *not* in authority during a traffic stop. The officer is and that officer has full authority to ensure their own safety during the stop. Being intentionally combative and intentionally preventing the officer from seeing into the vehicle increases the risk to the officer's safety, full stop. Again, you don't seem to understand that police do in fact have increased authority in this situation, and exercising that authority that's given to them by society is *not* tyranny. I keep repeating this in hopes that it may improve your understanding of policing. "The power hungry cop will be disciplined because of it for sure." - maybe, maybe not, but either way he didn't do anything unlawful and he didn't do anything unconstitutional. If you think he did you are objectively wrong since there's a ton of existing rulings to support every action the officer took in this situation. The only discipline that might occur would only occur due to public backlash by people that think that laws don't apply to them. Yes, cops should be poised and measured. That still doesn't mean you act like an idiot during a traffic stop. If your life is in danger then defend yourself - that was not the case here. If a cop tells you to step out of your vehicle during a traffic stop then do it - this is a lawful order in all 50 states. If an officer wants to search your vehicle and does so even after you've expressly told them you do not consent to a search - do not interfere with their unlawful search. Sue them afterwards. If the officer is telling you get out of a vehicle, you will be getting out of the vehicle - whether its by your own volition or by them removing you. The entire incident may be illegal, but that doesn't matter at that moment in time because it's going to happen no matter what. You don't seem to understand that - in this situation and at that point in time - the cop *will* win. Your only options other than cooperation in these types of situations are to flee or fight the officer - neither of those options are good options. Flee? Could be a felony and will likely rack up multiple other charges, while also endangering the public. Get in a fistfight with the officer? At best that just gets you prison time. It's not a support of tyranny to engage in the justice system instead of acting like an idiot on the side of the road. It's pragmatism. Fight for your rights in the courtroom - that's why it exists. P.S. If Hill had fully rolled down his window at the beginning of the stop and kept it rolled down throughout the stop, none of this would've happened. Pointing this out is not "supporting tyranny". P.P.S. In case your reading comprehension hasn't improved by now - every single order given by the officer was a lawful order, so your entire argument is moot from the beginning. I also find it interesting that you call the officer "butt hurt" and neglect to point out the temper tantrum Hill was throwing in his car before being lawfully ordered to exit the vehicle - he was acting like a child, so he was treated like a child and put in time out while the stop was completed. You act like he was ripped out of his vehicle and beaten on the side of the road when there's video evidence from multiple angles showing that wasn't the situation. It's amazing how many people have come out to defend a wealthy person for acting like they're above the law.

There's nothing specific to this situation that would indicate that Tyreek was "armed and dangerous". It seems to me that the cop was well within his constitutional boundaries to order Tyreek to get out of the car, but should have allowed for more time for compliance. The cop was standing over him preventing safe exit. If he leans out to stand up, the cop was so close that he could have claimed that Tyreek lunged aggressively towards him. Tyreek was mostly compliant, even if mouthy and a little entitled and should have been afforded more than 7 seconds before being planted on the tarmac.

When the Contact Officer told him to leave the very dark tinted windows of his vehicle rolled down he responded with an "You don't tell me what to do" as he rolls the window back up. Guess what Snowflake? That's not how things work - you are not the one in charge. It was an Officer Safety rationale for having the window down so the Officer could keep him under observation while he performed a DL check, Warrants check and paperwork associated with the stop. Law Enforcement has no idea what is in that car - could be a firearm or some other type of weapon. When he refused to comply, the Officer gave him a Lawful Order to exit the vehicle which he is perfectly legally entitled to do under a Landmark Supreme Court Case - Pennsylvania vs. Mimms. Again - Hill gave the Police attitude and did not want to comply so he was forcibly removed from the vehicle. If this had been my stop, he would have not been released with a couple of citations - he would have been custodially arrested for Reckless Driving and Obstructing A Peace Officer,
