@usmc88165 жыл бұрын
Chris Warren You’re either a casual or batshit looney. 1996 Holyfield was at his best, there was no decline in his skill level or endurance. Holyfield didn’t begin to show signs of declining until the 2nd Lewis, you really saw it Ruiz 2, Byrd and Toney. Holyfield did not meet the same Tyson that fought Tyrell Biggs, not even close.

I agree, the first round he was great. Not sure what happened, been a while since I saw it, but Tyson was able to intimidate him into his sort of fight and that was it and yes he was never the same sadly. Of course he showed how to beat the "younger" model Tyson, as Buster Douglas did not much later.

He was a helluva fighter till he got chucked in with Tyson. After that he was never really the same. But just take a look at rd 1 of the Tyson fight - he moves like a young Ali and looks like he's doing pretty well with the jab. Of course after this round Tyson put a lot of pressure on him and that was the end of that. Had he stayed off the juice I think he would have been one of the best ever.

Biggs is the reason I know Ali would have beat Tyson. You could see that style worked. Biggs couldn’t completely follow the script. Move, box, tie him up, stay fresh and then beat him in late rounds. I don’t know if he was using that strategy but just imitating Ali. Ali would have stayed true to it.

Biggs was a highly skilled boxer and his jab was a thing of beauty. He beat Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis in the amateurs and went 15-0 as a professional before facing Tyson who had suddenly skyrocketed to fame by becoming the youngest ever world heavyweight champion. Tyson was vastly improved from his amateur days and tortured Biggs for seven rounds before the referee eventually decided to stop the massacre. That fight ruined Biggs' career and he ended up becoming a punch bag for up and coming fighters. Biggs' management threw him to the wolves against Tyson for money because anyone with half a brain should have known that taking on a prime Tyson with only 15 fights to your name, was never going to result in success. So Biggs was basically finished as a top level fighter at just 27 years of age. I am glad that he is still around and trying to make something of his life. He seems like a nice guy.

After the mike tyson fight Tyrrell biggs became just a punch bag and presented nothing to lewis or Reddick bow. Every fight tyrell would get abused and punished bad bad bad. I loved him it was hard to watch him just getting beat up and would not fight back. Lewis is a bottom feeder who praised on boxers who clearly are going down hill fast.
