Tyrone Tate is a name that a lot of people never hear about. It's these unsung warriors that have all the historical gems. That other guy's videos are far more inferior to what we see with Kev Mac. Real OG's, not 1990's babies trying to tell history they wasn't a part of. Keep it up Kev Mac, this is going to take you places you never imagined bro!

Solid interview. I appreciate how you don't ask leading questions and allow your interviewees to speak in their own voices. The flashbacks are added bonuses. I've been a fan of your work for the past decade. Only true fans can appreciate the level of your erudition. Much love to Dirty Blue from the Dirt Gang and Martinez from The Lott X3.

I grew up heavy blood neighborhood. This is Castle hill in the Bronx and I ain’t meet crips until I got to high school. These videos shed light that we all are much alike and it’s only right Bloods and crips educate themselves on the origins because it only builds respect. This man Tyrone Tate reminds me of my dad and myself who both ran the streets but also went to the military and learned about structure and how to pass knowledge from one generation to the next. I got little homies around me everyday. Some bang and some don’t but I struggle everyday to better myself all the while knowing they look up to and depend on me at times. I never give up on them though.

Older people are assets so valuable to any society. With age comes wisdom and knowledge if someone wants to know about anything from relationships , gangs, education, automobiles there's an older person that can give you some insight about it . Richard Jones It's hard, after literally being a trained killer, to readjust back to "normal" life. Especially for black amd brown, who didn't have the option (then at least) to join a different form of military (aka police) back here in "the world". The ones who didn't go crazy, or get strung out, had to cope with a lot of things mentally...

Interviews like this are priceless. He connected the dots on the police involvement in perpetuating a lot of the division N rivalries that stole a lot of black lives. Interesting to see how there was still a love N respect until the younger hot heads got separated from leadership. Leadership N community involvement is key to our unification N survival. From the elders to the youth we have to put our pride aside N uplift from a foundation of knowledge instead of going off emotions N pride. Keep up the good work. Shalom alaikum. ✊🏾
