The reason he is saying 'I love you' is the scene is a rip off of when Obi Wan tells Anakin Skywalker, "you were my brother Anakin, I loved you." Whereas Obi Wan Kenobi's relationship to Anakin Skywalker had been because he was the Father figure in Anakin's life. Their relationship was built over a twenty-five year period of time. Obi-wan had to make a decision between doing his duty and doing what his heart wanted. The writer in this story does not really understand love. Leslie has never been a man, nor has she been a father. In this story, what is focused on is sin. Self glory and Self righteousness. No one in the story has a moment of character growth. All the characters are arrogant. The only teachable moment in the story is that the writer's pride gets in the way of story telling. All stories are a moral story. A story must have a balance between morality and hedonism. In the George Lucas Star Wars, every character goes through the same struggle in different parts of the story. You actually see the character think on screen and convey the emotional struggle. The material is a reflection of the mind that wrote it. The writer has no real moral foundation. It goes all over the place when it is convenient for their need to be sinful. You can see in the end of this story, the antagonist are two girls and the protagonist is the Asian Jedi. How do we know this? He is the only one in the entire story that had to make a moral decision and then live with the consequence. The fact that he dies in the story by the hands of the girls makes the story a tragedy. I think the story would have worked better if it had been set in the period of The Old Republic. However, the writer started with the position that the Jedi are corrupt. Which is silly. Wickedness comes from within a person. A person does not become wicked because of outside influences. People choose to be adults and that takes work. It is sort of like in the story of Peter Pan. The story is really about maturity. Peter Pan cannot grow up in the story, but that is why Captain Hook is in the story. That is who Peter Pan is going to become when he matures. That is what Yoda is trying to teach Luke in the training. Luke's problem is he wants to be the hero. But he is not mature enough. That is why Han Solo is in the story. That is what Luke is going to become if he does not learn discipline. That is why Leia is the actual hero in the story. She is the only one in the story who understands the greater threat. People forget she watched her home planet get destroyed. That is why these stories keep failing. There is no moral center. So when the audience has a moral center, the story comes across as nonsense. At the end of eight episodes, no character grew in the story. Everyone gets to act out their immaturity and sin. The creator here got to spend 180 million dollars to be a jerk. The whole story is about jerks. Thank you.
