Referring to Fury as “the second best HW on the planet” is exactly why he’s retired. What’s the point in him needing to prove he’s the 2nd best HW when idiot pundits hand it to him on a plate regardless. you just break it down the way i have always see furys career, he has not fought and strong opponents since the wilder fight. but his fanboys still open their mouth to praise him ..its so funny.
It’s baffling how people and so called „experts“ talk about Fury as if he is number 2 for sure. The guy needs to clean out the division to prove that. He is the Conor McGregor of the boxing heavyweight division but without the track record. The trilogy against wilder was great entertainment and I loved it but Wilder is a one trick pony with little technical boxing skills and a highly curated CV. Fury should fight Joshua and Dubois and Zhang and then we can talk about number 2 status. Usyk has achieved more credibility and a way stronger track record in a few years in the division than Fury in his whole life. Not taking away the skillset Fury has. He is definitely elite but he needs to proof himself. Ducking many greats of the generation doesn’t go well with a big mouth. Lots to be desired here.

Completely agree. Any other pro sportsman I can think of ends up on top by beating the best in his field. Fury has somehow achieved the same and earned a fortune without doing this. Bingo! Wilder was a v poor boxer and Fury knew he could beat him if he could stay away from that right hand. Yes Fury rose like a demon after being knocked down, but he still got knocked down. The reality is at this point with Furys reputation being so low that retiring does not improve his position in fact much the opposite ; in the eyes of the public he'll be forever seen as the ducker particularly as he announced the retirement within 48 hours of AJ making a very public "calling out". He has to fight AJ now or he'll be seen as a coward ; THAT will be his true legacy and no amount of verbal wordplay from him and his team can conceal that increasingly obvious fact .

All the noise about Fury for years but the only person who I see that actually will fight anyone and isn’t scared to lose and will keep fighting even if they do lose is AJ. People can say what they want about him but he fights anyone, that’s what great fighters of the past have done, is fight anyone win or lose. A few losses on the record should mean you retire. Leaving the same exact comment under every video. AJ lives in your head rent free. Again, how is Joshua being "rewarded" with anything if he got the Fury fight? Tyson Fury isn't a champion and is coming off the back of a defeat, just like AJ. The only difference is AJ hasn't lost his bottle completely even after getting demolished by Dubois. Joshua wants the fight because he wants to prove he can beat Tyson Fury, the same way Fury should want to smash up AJ since he's said it would be so easy for so many years. The payday would be a massive "reward" for both fighters since there's no more lucrative fight out there for them. You think Fury can make as much money fighting Chisora for a fourth time as he can fighting AJ?

I’d encourage folks on these comment threads to realize that the names you see over and again every day on multiple channels saying certain inflammatory statements are NOT believing what they are actually saying. In fact if you’ve observed them for a decade or so (like I have) you will note that they change their allegiances , opinions and what their “thing” is over time. Whatever gets the most engagement which tends to be negative engagement. If hating AJ is inflammatory then it’s that. If it’s saying Wilder is the best heavyweight in history then it’s that. If it’s Fury is the GOAT then it’s that. Those people don’t love boxing and don’t give a sh*t about our sport. They have nothing left in their lives and for a decade plus all they’ve done is try and get people to respond to them…every single day for years! Pretty sad. That’s why they change their minds to suit whatever will p*ss people off the most. The true test of whether I’m right about this is this…ask them to respond to a very specific and focussed question with an opinion of their own. They won’t. It goes against the trolling rules of engagement. Best way is to ignore them. Then maybe we can get back to how these comment sections used to be with discussions between actual boxing fans enjoying our sport. It really was awesome back then and was much healthier. Anyway, that’s what I’ve observed. I miss chatting to actual fans 🤷♂️

For some my comment will hit quite close to home and they may end up being the most vocal responders. Probably with zero substance and likely some sort of put down based on nothing. Those are the ones I feel most sorry for. It’s very sad especially when they calculate just how much of their life they’ve given to essentially nothing. But it does hurt actually fans having discussions so that part is important to me and I’m sure to some others. It’s a sad state of affairs and I’m amazed at the tenacity of some of these folk who keep going but are actually saying nothing. All they are after is attention. Very sad.

Additionally it’s easy to see over time from comments where people are in the world and just how obsessed some can be. For example I’m in the US so it’s 8pm here. For someone from the UK to respond to this that means they’d be doing that at 4am on a Saturday morning. And everyday, on multiple channels, for over a decade…and at 4am on a Saturday morning. Now that would be very very sad to think about. I can’t even imagine the level of obsession and craziness that would take. Especially saying the same thing over and over. And when they get mad the logic goes entirely out of the window. They will say they didn’t read something else you wrote….while then talking about it. Again, true boxing fans please come back and ignore these strange folk. I miss y’all.
