Thank you so much for your videos. Most guys giving advice on KZbin about PB are simply giving basic common sense stuff, You take everything to the next level and you have proven ability on the court so thank you again!

That’s what the program was designed for. Address the fundamentals, but give people some more advanced concepts as well.

Tyson great video as usual. I've been working on a topspin roll for my 3rd shot drop but it looks like I'm not getting the trajectory as high as you were thus mine hit the net too often. You make it look so easy. Just so I'm working on the right technique the topspin roll you use is like your topspin push dink? But with more lift? Thanks again, your subscriber numbers continue to climb each week. Glad to see it. Just the tip of the iceberg. Go Team Tyson!!!!

Jim thanks for following the channel brother! Yes utilize similar topspin roll technique as your dink but use more shape or margin for error if drop is being missed into the net. Keep in mind that with topspin you can add more shape or lift and trust that the spin should bring it down. One of the nice things about rolling a topspin 3rd is that you can use more height versus a slice or flat drop. A good miss is always high in this context 🙏✊🙌🙏🙌✊

Tyson do you actually look at your ball's trajectory as it leaves your paddle face, or do you go off the feel of your shot?
@TysonMcGuffinPickleball2 жыл бұрын
At my level we mostly trust the feel of our shots off the paddle. Trusting that feel is a skill that is developed over time though. There’s nothing wrong with looking at ball shape/trajectory at first until that feel is developed.

That shot at 12:43. You will tell me how you do this, sir. You will tell me....
@davidaronson94753 жыл бұрын
Play it back at .25 speed. At 12:43 he pre-sets his paddle in front of his body for a backhand. 80% of pickleball shots are backhand -- everything on your backhand side plus everything in front of your body plus a bit of your forehand side. So it makes sense when the ball is coming from right in front of you to pre-set that way. He then reacts by sliding his hips back to allow the paddle to come into a slightly chick-wing position out in front of him and then flips his wrist thru the ball upon contact. Piece of cake when you are 5.0 against a 4.0 opponent.

Great video! If you use the license to swing from the transition zone, with a ball in the green zone, will your opponent be advantaged in the following hands battle? Does the 5th shot have to be a winner or can it be just be a fast ball that will land in? Your 5ths are consistently better quality than mine and Im concerned I will get punished by a punch volley if i dont keep it as low over the net as you do. If Im understanding this situation correctly a solid 5th shot from the transition zone with a green zone ball is unlikely to be punished at the higher levels and I need to get a higher quality 5th shot top spin speed up.
