When I went from long hair to a buzz cut, it took a few weeks before it would sit right. The hairdresser told me it was because the weight of your hair stretches your folicles into weird shapes, so they take time to relax back to where they're meant to be. So don't stress if it takes a while to look completely right. It looks great, though! The rat-tail is bringing back so many memories of high school in the 80s!

When I shaved my sides, the upper sides stuck out completely perpendicular to my skull. It took quite a while for it to lay down, like a couple of months.

Dude, I feel Christy's pain. I shaved my fiance's long hair all off last summer. I loved his hair, he kept threatening to shave his head because it was too hot. So I said fine I'll do it. We were both shell-shocked for a few days afterwards so be prepared for that. Woke up next to him the next day and had a mini panic attack.😂 Looks good,Ty. Good job, Christy! 💜

Christy's so patient and sweet! I cut my own hair, and my gf won't even line up my ears or the back for me because she's f'd me up before, and now she won't try. Even though I told her it's all good and she'll only get better with practice.

Looks really good! I had a full head of long hair that went down to below my shoulders. I ended up having it all cut off and donating it to Wigs for Kids. Cutting it off made me look younger and feel better. I hope you feel the same way.

A kid in my elementary school had a rat tail all thru elementary school and finally shaved it off in junior high probably cuz he didnt want to get bullied lol. This was back in the early 90s! You somehow pull it off though.
