3:30 did this used to be a high-floor platform station, otherwise the name signs on the curved walls are ridiculously high to read from low-floor trams and absurdly small font size.😮 Luckily the platforms have clearer signage.

I think the height of the platform hasn't been changed. On the other hand, apparently guided buses also used to drive through this tunnel years ago, so I'm not 100% sure... Probably they just wanted to place the signs at the same height as those on the opposite wall. But for you the signs are at eye level anyway, right?😋

This station was supposed to be converted to high-floor metro once the tunnel was extended. However the extension never happened and thus to this day it is only served by trams. The platform was built to be raised later, therefore the signage as well as the escalators are already placed at the ultimately planned height. There’s plenty of ridiculous station buildings like this on the rhine-ruhr network.
