Always loved honesty of UG, never sugar coated to please anyone!! He expressed in a different way.
@ronsmid26957 жыл бұрын
My respects to UG but he says nothing happened to him in this video and then in others he mentions he stumbled into something extraordinary. Of course something happened. There was a certain perception of the world at one point in his life and a complete change of perception afterwards. He is correct in saying elsewhere that listening to him can be the very thing that will block you from falling into this yourself. Discovering him 15 years ago suddenly stopped my curiosity for seeking due to his strong statements of every teacher being a con man. Then slowly I came back to zen principles and the UG voice was trying to come back and stop me but I continued to let go. I read Zen mind, Beginner mind. I started reading very slowly, practicing a little at a time. Never forcing. Eventually, this place of nothing suddenly appears one day and it does not go away. You remain there. And then later you watch some UG videos and you are no longer separated by them in any way as you were once before. Now only appreciating his personal way of expression. UG was one of the biggest seekers of them all. He wanted nothing in life more than to experience Moksha and spent all of his time looking for it. When it happened to him he was surprised that it was not what he had expected. But no one can, that is the thing. He tried too hard to find the nothingness that we are and that is where his bitterness seems to resides sometimes. And if the calamity stories are as he says, they may have came about by resisting the changes of the body resorting back to its natural operating system after the intellectual shield had fallen. No one will go through this the same way. And no one can say you can`t find this abiding emptiness in yourself by moving in directions that resonate with you which only you can decide. Others have and will continue to discover this like they always have. That is where I went wrong by taking some of the things UG said to heart and believing them by making them permanent. Holding onto them. Regardless, UG is one of my greatest teachers.

Why would one lie about the respect for anyone, if he doesn't respect him at all?:( Why would one blame the other to speak of nonsense, if he only interprets what the other might be saying, therefore reacts only to his own nonsense? Why would one write about the place of nothing WHICH IS DEATH, in this world of life, when he didn't experience it for he is writing so he is alive? Why would one present his own brainwashing which took a certain amount of time as "I found despite UG's words? For if there truly was nothing for you, sir, you would find no place, you would need no zen, no practice. You are just one of the liars, that's all.

What UG is saying, Simha, are just words. They do describe the existence itself, yet they are not the existence itself. That's why it is simply misleading to shut his words into any kind of a bible, for the existence is living, breathing, ever changing. Your comment wants to entrap the fact, which is UG talking about, into something limited, so it can be preserved for the generations to come. What for, sir? For those generations won't be your generation, life doesn't exist only now, it will exist even then, the truth doesn't exist only now, it will exist even then, its form will be different from the one you know now. The bible, any holly book is entrapped status quo, entrapped life, which is left to rot. And when you open it after some time, it poisons you with its lethal breath. You are welcome.

Is it ever possible for any concept about something to be that thing? And that question, of course, is the result of the answer that begs it. Even a thought about thought is not the thought that the thought refers to. However, it is possible to perform fantasy gymnastics with concepts by way of imagining that is possible and then to create a synthetic fusion after the fact. Now, how much of the above, when read, is experienced as merely the result of interpretations that evoke spontaneous associations as an overlay and how much of it has any actuality at all? That is, especially now that you are considering what I am relating after the fact of the direct perception of those verbal symbols which, at this point are conceptualized as "in the past" and, right now, this is the present moment of awareness until you continue to read each new word and notice that happening. In that case, the experience, the media of perception and the subjective idea of that which experiences are, in the moment, a unitary motion, so to speak. And so, in that sense, you actually get nothing from these statements other than what you already have and that is permutations of insubstantial thoughts that are always the "past" along with the resulting projections of that as the non-existent future.
@severussin Жыл бұрын
The concept can never be the thing because the very “thingness” is part of the thought process. Living his happening now, frame by frame so to speak and it cannot be captured. We only use our 5 senses as an instrument each moment and during these moments we can focus upon thought or as UG describes, let thought be necessary for solving problems but not to actively remain in the neurotic space (thinking) of behaving as if thought images are the reality itself.

There is no UG anymore. You can only be reborn if you have a soul. All there is is matter acting in mind boggingly complicated ways. And this activity is pointless.

@@daithiocinnsealach1982 I don't think there's only a mother-matter, there's also a father-spirit. You don't have a soul, but you are a soul that sticks to matter and thinks it is only a body. Soul is consubstantiality between matter and the spirit. Just as light and a red glass together give a red light. In this case the red light only exists as long as red glass. Consubstantiality. I could say other way, We are radios who, because of our different shapes and bodies(memory), demodulate the same signal in different ways, so a different broadcast comes out. The point is that a broadcast is coming from the radio, but the signal is not actually on the radio. Signal was before the radio, and after the radio. We are living like the broadcast, but our essence is the signal which animates the radio.. Consciousness is an infinite field, the universe has only one mind, but it is non-material. Like light, it cannot be seen or felt, but its effect on the material, the illumination, is there. Light is a wave, but a wave of what? There is no empty space, nowhere...
