I'm 8n the UP as well. Have several old CCC camps around the area. Have not detected any of them yet. Did hit up an old fire tower location. Must have been quite the party spot after they decommissioned the fire tower. There were old beer cans EVERYWHERE. Some places they were over a foot deep. Almost impossible to detect because of all the old cans.

I went out this morning, found one stinking memorial penny and got bit to death by gnats. Not much luck here in MN either! Gotta keep trying though. Cool place you found there.

You need to try this again and change to a smaller coil to get in between the junk or maybe even dig some of it to see what you will find. Maybe even change you search for different targets of a different nature, I don't know maybe even try to recover history and not so much valuables. You never know.

Hey, dude I really enjoyed watching your video's. I didn't catch anywhere what type of metal detector, make and model, that you are using. Could you reply to this comment and let me know? Me and my boy want to get one and it seems like you have a lot of trouble free use. Thank you.

I remember this day! It was great meeting you at that spot. I ended up with a Wheatie from the area I met you at, but that was all. I actually went back there last weekend, and there was another hunter there, must be a very popular spot for detecting. Anyways, thanks for the videos, they're better than many others here on KZbin, and as I said before, it was nice meeting you! P.S. Did you end up selling that AT Pro?

It kinda looks like a old mine site you should try to metal detect in iron county at the old camp Gibbs CCC site all the buildings are there and it’s been taken care of also in Covington there is a WW2 POW camp the first can you showed is a beer can from between the 1940’s and 1950’s.
