I wish Hasbro would give us a body that would work for cap with butterfly joints. It would help with posing them throwing their shields. Plus they need to make the shields one consistent size. I hate that they gave u.s agent the stupid smaller shield.

It’s about margin. As much as we as fans think they can do more. Not and make the margins they want. They are good figures. Some great figures. But never ultimate figures even at a higher cost. The figure looks good. It does the job.

I don't get the fascination with butterfly joints, more often than not it just breaks up the sculpt to get very limited range like with Vulcan or Gamerverse Miles. I feel like the only characters to make good, seamless use of the feature are Wolverine, Beast and Hulk. US agent is fine though, out of all the old bodies they still use the Grim Reaper body is actually pretty good imo, kind of wish they gave him bigger bicep pieces though.

Good review! Hasbro could have put U.S Agent on a body mold that has butterfly joints & is pinless.. I feel Hasbro Marvel Legends does just the bare minimum with their figures! Hasbro needs to come up with a better shield holding system for these Captain America/U.S Agent figures. I would like to see a U.S Agent similar to this U.S Agent but that is: pinless, has butterfly joints and with scale mail like Hasbro did with 80th/20th Anniversary Captain America!

I would’ve taken the Vulcan body on this honestly. This scales perfectly with that 80th/20th Cap. He’s taller than Cap so it scales well. Look at my comparison again, closely.

US Agent...um....I'm just glad to have a new one. He does look good yet as you mentioned Hasbro should've given him an unmasked head sculpt. To add they also could've given him a gun with holster and a knife with sheath. I have the entire minus Iron Man. I felt I didnt really need him .Great review as always, Manny.

The Cobra Alley Viper fig has a waaay better shield strap system. They should use that for all shields. Maybe the centre strap piece could be swappable with a centre piece that has a peg. If they weren't gonna give him an entirely new bod the should've at least beefed up the arms and shoulders like 80 years Cap and use that figure's hips. They have sculpted fabric creases and can go out to the side better than this. US Agent is supposed to be like Cap on steroids. I like the Dredd look and the more military one with the combat boots and trousers. He has a star shaped shield as well. As ever X-Manny, thanks for the background info. Above and beyond.👍

Great review, as always. Really like the section giving some character history. Love the head sculpt on him and the paint on mine was spot on. My only gripe (and I sound like a broken record as it is the same with every McFarlane!) Is his physique. I haven't read loads, but every comic I have read with US Agent in-he is a unit!!! Defined musculature, I seem to remeber he was often drawn bugger than Cap. Either way-he was always a unit! This figure just isn't as imposing as I'd like him to be. 7 was a spot on rating!

Yeah he is bigger than Cap. If you look closely at my comparison he is a tad bit taller than cap but not much. They’ve definitely slimmed him down a lot over the last few years in the comics. Glad you agree with my 7.5 rating. Hope you agree that we also need butterfly joints for shield throwing characters.

As classic and late 90's, he was a big dude, like tall pro bodybuilders. Read an Alpha Flight from about 10 years ago but he wasn't as big, just the same as this one.

I'm with you on the criticism of this figure he's just a repaint and the figure is to slim. They need to reinvent the way they make the shield pegs and just use shield straps. Love the pics at the end 🔥🔥🔥

The sculpture is rarelly an new one, always an reuse, and the painting is very basic for it's price (although i love the comic book look to it). For the price they're charging, it ain't in the same game as other companies such as NECA and McFarlane (yes, they came to that). And that is very sad, cause i am a lover of Marvel's products and contents..

As much as I like this figure, I can't help but think he should have been put on the Vulcan body. Us agent is supposed to be bigger than cap, and the addition of butterfly joints and just the mere size of that figure would have been a perfect choice for this charechter. Reusing a body from 2016 isn't cool man, at least give us painless joints.

If there is a character other than Spider-Man who deserves a figure with superb articulation, Captain America has to be it! The 80th anniversary Captain America is still a better action figure than 20th anniversary Marvel legends figure in terms of articulation. U.S. Agent deserved some extra articulation too😭

If you go by the comic book version. In my opinion john walker. Simply because winter soldier is physically weaker the steve roger. John walker is at least a little bit stronger then steve roger.

For example, Steve Rogers simply could not beat him due to his superior strength, but in 2004, Rogers was shown to beat him in a fight with relative ease. Hasbro's ML "Re and Re" game is getting very boring. A Ten year figure gets an update and like the Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider, is another Re and Re. Except at what price?
