The brown on this Wolverine, though it probably could have been darker, is just fine. It's how the suit was colored in the 80s, with the brown having a bit more reddish shade. It's the type of shade I've been looking for on a brown suit Wolverine.

This legitimately might be the best Marvel Legends wave for new collectors in the history of the line. It's easy for hardcore collectors like us to dismiss this wave as repaints/small upgrades, but let's look at it from a different perspective. Classic Captain America, brown costume Wolverine, and Symbiote Spider-Man were all REALLY expensive figures on the aftermarket prior to this wave. I think those 3 are the main draws for new collectors. Classic Iron Man and 2 iconic villains like Titania and Beyonder are the cherry on top

@ I haven’t on this particular figure but I have a many others from Marvel Legends. I find nail polish remover (acetone) to work the best. There is always a chance of damaging the plastic when using any type of paint removing chemical

I think the shields are a must for this line. It was something that all the original toys had. I get it though some folks weren't even alive when these came out and just dont get it. But to me it makes this line special.

I especially love that Iron Man's blaster still has the holster handle on it. This is because in the original line this blaster also came with Dr. Doom who could holster the gun on his thigh bandolier. So if you wanted to grab the Captain Marvel + Dr. Doom 2-pack he can still do that. I'm going to repaint the Iron Man gun hand so Dr. Doom can swipe the extra accessory.

I absolutely understand the inclusion of the lenticular shields as an homage to the vintage Secret Wars line, on the other hand though, Spidey publicly advertising his secret identity doesn't make much sense. My most wanted for a Secret Wars line, and one I was disappointed wasn't in this first wave, was a classic Falcon. Hasbro's done 2 different modern designs for Falcon, but I've passed on both, because I'm waiting for his classic look, which they have to get around to sometime, they did it in that 3 3/4 inch line, it needs to be done in the main Legends line.

I wanted to like that wolverine, and the colors don’t even bother me. Those fuckin’ shoulders, why are they so small? Also once that astonishing dropped they should have scrapped every wolverine in favor of the new articulation set up. That astonishing wolverine is so good, I don’t even like astonishing but that wolverine is so good!

I’m okay with this wave. I really only want Titania out of all six. I’ll get them all. A second wave with classic Falcon, Constrictor, Ock, Wasp, Daredevil, and Iceman would be pretty awesome. These are good figures. It’s funny how roller skates make Iron man appealing. The broken shield and lighter blue make Cap interesting. Black suit Spidey is always awesome. Logan is cool. I mean they’re solid. Titania is the only one I want most. She works very well! I can take or leave the fleshy middle. Personally either way is visually interesting. I’ll get these eventually. I still haven’t finished Blackheart wave or got all the Spider-Verse figs. So many figures this Fall between Classified and Marvel and some Black Series I want. I have a big ole stack of unopened product. Plenty to keep me busy during dry Winter months.

Love the simple clean photos. That Titania is a babe! Lesser showcased female characters tend to go on sale. So I've been playing the waiting game to save a few bucks. I am a fan of the 80/90s She Hulk so Titania wouls look great sluging it out with Shulk. The figure came out so beautiful I want to pull the trigger and just buy it. I will wait for Black Friday. I am happy the center of the chest is an insert. I am going to set those puppies free with some paint thinner.

Great review, even though the Beyonder has so many outfit in the Secret Wars 2 I'm glad they kept it his last one even though it suppose to be blue. and they could have gave us Racheal Summers, Magik and, even the classic Luke Cage except do a better job with his body mode. Hasbro should give us the second wave with the classic Falcon with his little friend Redwing just like Mattel use to do. Hasbro did most of the figures that Mattel did except the classic comic Falcon because this figure is long over due. I got my set already and I'm looking forward for the next set in the future.

Double diaphragm is overrated and overused. Just give us the diaphragm double ball and the waist double ball peg and we’d be golden. I’d even take ab crunch + double ball peg at the waist like gi joe.

Both works for me but be aware that Hasbro doesn’t do those ball joints properly so they don’t have the maximum range as they should. Even some Joes don’t move properly with those joints. Like Scarlett can’t move for shit. The latest Warbird and Phoenix shits on that with more range at the diaphragm.

It is absolutely not time to update wolverine to the astonishing articulation scheme, that combo doesn't work, has never worked. Hasbro can't pull off a decent rocker to save their life and wolverine is a character that needs to hit a 90 degree bend that can only come from a decent ab crunch. The only thing you can suggest is changing waist to a crunch instead like the classified line.

The classified ball jointed waist doesn’t hit all the way either because Hasbro doesn’t know how to do proper ball joints. I would like that if done properly but I know it’s not gonna happen. At least anytime soon. So I’d rather have the astonishing articulation than to keep the traditional ab crunch/hardline waist swivel combo as it’s better than no upgrades at all. So yeah, it is that time not to stay behind.

The ab crunch only worked before because it was in the meat of the ribcage and had the room to move, the waist one doesn't have that. Rockers I can fix, though when it's high up in that meat the channel I have to dig has to be deeper.
