To the one complainer would you rather no documentary and having to look it up on Wikipedia. Also If you think you can do better with it make one yourself.Lmao This series by far one of the best I’ve seen.

My father was a trooper with Troop C, 16th U.S. Cavalry at Fort Sam Houston Texas in 1916. He was on a horse and trained with a saber. The Boss was General John "Black Jack" Pershing hunting the Mexican Bandito Pancho Villa. My dad lost his right arm in a battle at Eagle pass outside of Marfa Texas. He was 19 years old. He returned to New York, worked at the Veterans Administration's Regional Office in Manhattan, and retired as Chief Unit Supervisor after advocating for veterans for 20 years. My oldest brother served with the cavalry in WW II, Korea, and Vietnam retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel, his sons - my nephews, both retired as Lt. Colonels after service in the Air Cav in Vietnam.

I served in the oldest and longest continually serving unit in the U.S. Military, the 2nd Cavalry Regiment (Jan 1997-March 2002) formed in May 1836 at Jefferson Barracks Missouri and having actively served ever since. Once a Dragoon always a Dragoon. Remember your Regiment and follow your officers. Toujours Pret (Always Ready).

Isn't 1st battalion 201st field artillery older and longer continuously serving? en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/201st_Field_Artillery_Regiment

2nd ACR isn't even the longest serving Cavalry Regiment. 104th Cav was established pre Revolution.

AGAIN THANK YOU so much. I surely am relieved to learn that the welfare of the horses was prioritised. I now think that war is like science and art, but it’s just my opinion. ‘We’re saved, HERE COMES THE CAVALRY!!!’ What a hopeful feeling. Thank you to troopers fighting for freedom, not many of us are so brave. 🌟🌟🌟

This entire series is nonsensical. There is no real narrative of the evolution of the cavalry arm. Every episode jumps not just decade to decade, but century to century. Its a terrible documentary.
@calebpepper39111 ай бұрын
Yah ok then why don’t make one if you think you can do better? Considering it is about Cavalry why not start with The origins of horsemanship. Where in the definition of a documentary does it say it has to cover decade by decade of a certain timeframe.
