"The U.S. military has failed to re-anchor its humanitarian pier to Gaza, the Pentagon said Thursday, and soon will “cease operations” on an aid-delivery mission plagued by setbacks from almost the moment President Biden announced it four months ago.
Maj. Gen. Patrick Ryder, a spokesman, said in a statement that U.S. troops tried to reconnect the floating structure to Gaza’s shoreline Wednesday but were unable to do so because of “technical and weather-related issues.” The pier and its support vessels were taken back to the Israeli port of Ashdod, where they had sheltered amid the latest spell of rough waves to sideline the project, and will remain there until further notice, Ryder said."

It was most just used once as a landing spot for the helicopter from which Israeli forces (with the help of u.s. intelligence) freed 4 hostages, but actually started (under the cover of a humanitarian aid truck) their killing spree that cost the lives of 274 Gazans, plus at least 3 of their own kidnapped people.

Actually, it delivered 20,000 lbs of food to the pier. There is no evidence much, if any, of that food actually got to the Palestinians. It hit the same kinda of roadblocks as all other aid deliveries because it was a solution to a problem that didn’t exist and didn’t solve any of the actual problems of getting aid into Gaza and to people who need it. That problem being that Israel didn’t want the aid getting to the people who need it.

The pier is not designed for that beach. It's best in a port protected by a BREAKWATER to subdue waves. GAZA has plenty of rubble to create a breakwater. Get machinery in there to carve out a port so peace will survive. People of Gaza can rebuild. A pier will allow hospital and supply lines. But HAMAS must be moved out of Gaza or totally subdued.
