Pretty easy prediction, since pain is already here. Inflation, especially aggressive inflation is hurting many. I do feel for young people because they will live in a relentlessly high inflation world forever. Furthermore they will not only be responsible for their bills but will pay our bills that we skipped out on. In the first 220 years our country accrued less than 1/3rd of our total debt. In the next 15 years we accrued more than 2/3rd of our total debt.

Great interview Michelle. Charles is spot on. A 'soft landing', using their aviation metaphor, the pilot commanding the flight control surfaces, engine thrust and navigation tools, must have accurate data in order not crash on this critical phase of flight. The data we are treated to by the various agencies is corrupt data designed for a headline, not an accurate control maneuver. This is obvious to even the most dull witted bovine out there that watches the markets. It is obvious it is corrupt because if it were accurate, it would not be revised to the negative side of the initial announcement. Every single announced data set each month, quarter, etc. put forth by these same agencies has in fact been revised to the negative of the announced headline number. Every one. If that is not a clear indicator the market is not pricing in the correct data the real economy is already showing in key stress points. Should be too hard for even Cramer to ignore soon enough. Maybe 3-4 months from now we should be seeing our repeat of mid 2008 start to show up.

Great get, interview and synthesis Michelle ... another breath of fresh truthy aire. Not sure that I'm convinced about dedollarization time frame, for the same reasons that were discussed in previous smart conversations (appreciate the education) ... in my humble grossly informed opine, there necessarily HAS to be a better alternative that matches the premiums that the $$ still offers, is tradable/exchangeable with a similar ease and affordability globally and is a desirable base for value holding in savings. A BRICS consortium will take a very long time to coordinate that level of development (given that several of the new BRICs coalition actually hate each other) and distribution. And most likely several black swan events unfavorable to the US

Get rid of the dollar as Legal Tender. Force the govt to support itself by tariffs as it did before income tax was illegally enacted. AND get rid of income tax whose sole purpose is to act as collateral for govt debt. We are held in bondage so the politicians can spend like drunken sailors AND so that the FED can eventually lay clsim to all our assets when the govt forfeits on its debt.

@@paulozimek276 the reason, the rise of BRICS mainly, America being it's own worst enemy, and because I believe it is fore told in the bible and also as you stated their debt, but I think the BRICS solidarity will cut off access to trade markets globally, so the divide will be BRICS against the G7, they will strangle the economies of the U S and it's allies, I think BRICS will bring out a global currency anchored to gold, and the world will rush to accept it because they are so fed up with being bullied by Uncle Sam, when that happens people will look to alternate exchanges for investment, Wall Street will crash, when Wall Street crashes Australia crashes, NZ, Canada, Great Britain, Japan, Germany, France, and so on TOTAL GLOBAL confusion. Then out of the dust and debris will step a SAVIOR, BRICS...........and out of BRICS will come..... who knows

It need not be. If the government used robotics to build infrastructure and do maintenence like road repair, they could issue UBIs to former employees, recue social security, and reduce the federal debt. There is a law that states the government cant make money, but theres no law that says they cant save money. Less money paid out to some sectors means more money to attribute to other sectors.
