Not all who lost jobs can claim unemployment, and many are likely not counted. Also, some positions get posted on multiple platforms/recruitment agencies and reposted every few weeks. There are so many duplicate postings for the same positions. Some job postings are just to have applicants in the pipeline when the position is not even approved to exist yet. This does not take in account those that cant find a job and those working part time, that is a huge segment. The economy is not good and will get worse, layoffs are coming, housing market is showing slowdown, most people cant pay the asking prices for homes now. It takes 2 large incomes to afford average home now, 1 person is laid off, its foreclosures. Prices have gone up on everything too fast last 31/2 years, incomes have not, that = recession.
