The Same Mike Carter who was with Mike Prokes and Tim Carter later found with a half mill in cash and a few guns . Mr. Frazier was most likely Tim Stoen . And it’s most likely that the 3 were supposed to take out Tim . Get the Money to the Russian Embassy. Both of which were in Georgetown . Tim and Grace Stoen had stayed behind at the Hotel in Georgetown. And many temple members (Sharon Amos and the Basketball team) had seen Tim And Grace and reported that to Jones . They were his #1 enemies besides the Mrytles . And if they had trouble getting the money to Russia , many believe Teri Buford was Mrs Gilliam who could help. Clearly speculative . But much more realistic theory than ….”time to die” lol

I think the title is confusing. These are phone conversations with the Embassy and a staff member off site about the HAM Radio conversations Jonesstown was having with the Peoples Temple office in Georgetown

Doug Elice and Jim Scholart of the US Embassy are trying to contact Sharon Amos so they can inquire as to why the planes have not left the strip. Amos is lying saying she had no contact with Jonestown.

It wouldnt have been in time to save anyone. Cyanide works in about 3-5 minites, and the guards had automatic weapons. No one but a fully supplied army was getting in there. Besides, it wasn't as thpugh it was down the street and around the corner; Jonestown was over 300km away from Georgetown and you had to fly in; there are no roads. The settlement was located in the middle of a HUGE rainforest/jungle.

"A lot of people have seen Mr. Frazier"...weird stuff. Many people has noted the similarity between Jonestown and the movie "Apocalypse Now". Sir James George Frazer wrote "The Golden Bough: A Study in Comparative Religion" (retitled The Golden Bough: A Study in Magic and Religion in its second edition) a wide-ranging, comparative study of mythology and religion, written by the Scottish anthropologist . en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Golden_Bough. In "Apocalypse Now," Kurtz has a copy of "The Golden Bough" by Frazer on his desk when he is killed by Willard. "Frazer attempted to define the shared elements of religious belief and scientific thought, discussing fertility rites, human sacrifice, the dying god, the scapegoat, and many other symbols and practices whose influences had extended into 20th-century culture. His thesis is that old religions were fertility cults that revolved around the worship and periodic sacrifice of a sacred king. This is some useful information. Thank you for sharing. I don't think the temple was really aware of this though given their political standpoints at the time. The Jonestown Institute does need help transcribing tapes. Contact Fielding if you're interested.

I doubt the rank and file Temple members were into that sort of thing, but Jones himself (who was quite intelligent) may have read the book at some point in his life and came up with that code word. There's no way of knowing whether it was meant to refer to "Frazer" the author, some other person named "Frazier", or no one in particular. I brought it up simply because I found the parallels kind of spooky and unsettling.

Any cuts made to Jonestown tapes were by Jim Jones himself. Most tapes while documenting Peoples Temple were important to what they felt was their cause. The tapes in Jonestown, while mostly dated, detail recordings that while accurate to documentation, may not be in full time. Meaning a tape made in the month of any day may exist as a 45 minute or hour long recording, but do not detail one full hour of that day, meaning the recording is not real time. Jim Jones did this a lot to save tapes. This was the 60s and 70s, blank tapes were not cheap. Jones also would re-record over tapes he would confiscate from people coming into Jonestown from the states.

Ok. I am officially down the rabbit hole with this terrible and sad moment in history with the senseless deaths of so many innocent people, and for the life of me, i couldnt tell you why i continue to learn more and more each day because i like to be consumed and learn of the best in humanity rather than the worst like this day, November 18, 1978, and leading up to it. In the last couple of years, there have been documentaries on Jonestown on A&E with The Women of Jonestown and more recently another documentary "Cult Massacre: One Day in Jonestown" on Hulu. Both are must watches imho.. After listening to the calls in this video and going to the SDSU website code page, my stomach turns to notches when they heard on the radio "a lot of people have seen Mr. Fraser," and what was happening that exact moment at Jonestown..

I wish more documentaries would get things accurate. Doug Ellis had just recently replaced Richard McCoy on the Guyana Embassy seat. Richard McCoy was working with Jim Jones and Sharon Amos and gave them a heads up as to who was going to be interviewed by the state Department 11 months before during an investigation by the State Department where they interviewed 75 people. All of which were given a heads up as to which temple members would be interviewed. 11 months later Richard McCoy is replaced by Doug Ellis now and Jim Jones and Sharon Amos no longer have their Embassy Ally Richard McCoy . The 3 intended for the coded message was most likely Sharon Amos, her oldest Daughter, and Stephen Jones . And Mr. Frazier ...who’d many had seen....was most likely referring to Jim Jones # 1 enemy Timothy Stoen . The 3 were supposed to take him out and then join the rest in suicide. But Stephen Defected while these embassy calls are taking place . And shortly after these calls Sharon Amos kills her 2 of her youngest and then her and her oldest daughter killed eachother by slitting each other’s throats . When Doug said “she’s lying “ . This is when Sharon knew the jig was up . Richard McCoy was never investigated or prosecuted even though letters were found written by Jim Jones and his wife Marciline regarding their ties to him . Go figure . Easy to keep things quiet in 1978

That was not made by the temple. It is a discussion of much debate and it appears to have been recorded by the Guyanese Defense Force and left in Jonestown. I really wish people would save the death tape for last. And I wish people would understand that the story of Peoples temple did not start nor did it end on the 18th of November 1978.

Jonestown called Sharon Amos, whom was Jim Jones PA at the house in Georgetown & told her to contact SB, which is the radio operator at the church HQ in San Francisco, US. Having some of his children go meet Mr Fraser. Means, they are dying now, have started revolutiary suicide, being killed. I think Mrs Brownfield has offered to help, means sort things out on your side to even things out. She's 3, means 1.Go ahead, 2. not sure yet. 3. Not yet, wait till the time is right & 4. No don't do anything. This was info that I got from the handbook, so wait till the time is right, is my guess. Get Mrs Guillion, is code name for defector Tim Stoen.
