The decision to let Ukraine use NATO supplied weapons on Russian soiil is a significant escalation, and in the UK it’s not on the news agenda at all. That’s worrying. @@Nick-ov8sm Indeed, they have every right to strike Russian soil. It's a no win situation. If they attack Russia with western supplied arms, we go to war. If they don't strike Russia, they will lose this war and then we go to war. In both scenarios, Ukraine, Russia, Europe and probably the US will all burn in hell. Which option do you prefer? There is another option of course, and that is mediation between the sides but it appears that this option is off the table as Moscow and Washington are not talking to each other at all. That's mostly what makes this situation more dangerous than at any time during the cold war. Even during the Cuban missile crisis both sides were talking all the time through the back channels looking for an offramp. This time, both sides seem hellbent on war.

As a 79 year old man who was in service during the Cuban missile crsis, i am insenced at the total stupidity that rages in the west. The thing that should be on the minds of everyone is the fact that the Cuban missile crisis was about what happens when you have a country that tries to threaten the stability of boarders that do not in any way effect you! There has always been an understanding that ANY country h as a RIGHT to defend its boarxers, that was what the U.S. big cry in the crisis, Russia being on tbe doorstep of the U.S.. At tbe time, as usual, the truth was never pointed out, that the fuirst person to do tbe threatening in that crisis was certainly the U.S. it had put missile bases right next door to Russia, yes even then they were up to dirty tricks, but would you believe , actually complained because Russia, at tbe time The U.S.S..R WAS ALREADY UNDER THREAT FROM America, long before any move by Russua to put missiles Cuba there were already U.S. misdiles bases in Italy and Turkey put there by the U.S. so in a reality truth, even then it was the U.S. being the aggressor. Its the same story AGAIN with Ukraine a case of governmentle change in someone elses country at the Time Cuba, waz under threat and Russia was under threat. Being in service at the tjme we were sent straight aWay to arm ship to the full for this coming Nuclear war, may i add lunacy itself, ww2 weapons up against nuclear weapons. The feeling through out the ship we were going to sail away to battle and curtain defeat, or even if we did not take any part at all could certainly find at the end of the day would have no home to come b ack to and no family left alive to come home to. Its tbe same agressor yet again, and thevrest of the world has not the guts to put the U.S. in its place, a country that if even mildly studied always makes sure that the fighting is always done to mess up someone elses back yard NOT ThE U.S. . The words not an inch further eastward were said despite Bidens outright lie, its in writting it held in Washington Univercity archives under " What Gobachev heard, i have read it!, The U.S.were exspaning then as it is trying to do now, disregard any promise made we will do as we want atitude, then as it is now, only done with competely void of any moral fi re what so ever. Russia is rightfully protecting its boarder, and according to America THEY CAN be allowed to protect there boarders but nobody else has that right according to the U.S.. As the Federation of Russia has said from day one, NO NATO OR U.S. BASES OR MISSILES ON OR THREATENING FROM ANY BASE TOWARDS RUSSIA i can understand that how come the U.S. cannot or should i say WILL NOT play by the rules it exspects every body else to abide by. As said, we are re living history once again the the same culprite stating trouble, and make no mistake it is the U,S. At fault as we heard, somebody telling the world tbat the Natural wealth in Ukraine should be giving tbe advantage to America, in other words the U.S. again steeling what is not theirs to steel. The words " GO HOME YANKIES could not be better applied, with one adertive Stay there and leave everyone else alone, you want to play wuth your nuclear toys, DO SO IN YOUR OWN BACK YARD This should be the headline to America, despite any threat, i am one hundred percent sure the U.S. cannot take on the rest of the world so stand up world and tell them so loudly.!!!!!!!!!!

Let's see, after the Soviet Union collapsed, NATO has moved right up to Russia's doorsteps - is it unreasonable for Russia to want Ukraine to remain neutral? Maybe Russia can put a base in Mexico?

Correct. NATO expanded east 9 times since unilateral dissolution of the Warsaw Pact. Russia did not move west. The USA is entirely to blame for this conflict. This is an existential threat to the Russian Federation. If Russia looks likely to loose this conflict, and particularly if NATO enter directly into this conflict, then its “bombs away”. Given the astronomical levels of national debt and the rising tide of geopolitical tensions, my concerns are deeply rooted. Should the United States ever default on its loan obligations, the fallout could be catastrophic, potentially igniting global conflict. History has repeatedly shown that when major economies fail to honor their debts, the consequences are severe. In the case of the U.S., such a default could wreak havoc on the global financial system. The notion that the U.S. might provoke a large-scale conflict, such as a third world war, to evade its debts might appear far-fetched. However, this scenario underscores the grave risks associated with fiscal mismanagement and international strife. When a nation can no longer fulfill its obligations to creditors, the drastic idea of eliminating those creditors, while extreme, becomes a consideration. My worry is that we are already on the precipice of such a conflict. The situation is so volatile that a single U.S. default could potentially trigger World War III. Consider this: isn't it suspicious that the U.S. might have orchestrated its current position at a time when its national debt is at an unprecedented high? It is conceivable that the U.S. has strategically exhausted its resources, aware that other nations would eventually resist or seek alternatives to bypass American dominance. You might wonder if the U.S. has the foresight to plan for such an eventuality, but it doesn't require extraordinary intelligence to predict that a country perpetually at the top will face challenges to its dominance. The fall from being the world's leading power is inevitable, though its manner and timing are uncertain. Such a dethronement would undoubtedly have severe repercussions, and eliminating their creditors might seem like the only solution to their fiscal crisis. To some extent, it is plausible that the U.S. has been preparing for this eventuality. The unsettling reality is that America is uniquely equipped to preemptively strike, with military bases spread across the globe. Historically, the first to strike often holds the advantage. This strategic positioning, combined with the ongoing accumulation of national debt and geopolitical maneuvering, could suggest that the U.S. is bracing for significant global shifts, potentially through conflict.

The last question is a trap question. We live in a bloated economy where 90% of goods and services are not actually needed or they fix a problem that wouldn't exist in the first place if this kind of economy didn't existed. Think health care and stress being side effects and things addressed by same economy. 90% of the jobs are as we coloquially know as bull schitt jobs. A sign of this is the reliance of this economy on vast quantities and enormous aparatuses of marketing and advertising in order to be able to shovle such quantity of useless products and services... So... now ask again... should the manager ask the employee at what price should he sell his useless product the employee creates out of necesity? Say what price should have a one pound cookie for an already diabetes child? What kind of answer would qualify? Inflation is simply an increase in the supply of money. A manipulation of Central Banks. I have been an employer. As such, I set prices to compete in a competitive marketplace and in hope of gaining market share, not to take ravenous advantage of a businesses most valuable and limited resource “customers”who can easily go elsewhere for their goods and services. Yes, employers do set prices, but they will not be employers for long if the marketplace perceives abuse and is unwilling to pay those prices. No serious company with long term vision takes the pricing of their products so casually as you are suggesting. Mostly, they raises prices DUE TO inflation (rising costs that impact them as well). Again, look to the Federal Reserve and Central Banks as your source of inflation. They are the puppeteers.
