USMS also provides support to other federal agencies that have police authority but lack their own special agent divisions. These agencies are typically run by lawyers who aren’t trained or equipped to make arrests on their own. The FCC and the FAA are the two main agencies I can think of off the top of my head that fall into this category. If the FCC decides to bust a pirate radio station they have to call the marshals to breach the door and make the physical arrest. Agencies such as the IRS and even the EPA have their own special agent divisions for handling these types of situations. The FAT team is typically comprised of a multitude of federal, state, and local agencies and it’s pretty common to have federal agents from different agencies working on these teams, it depends on the nature of the offenses allegedly committed. It’s not unusual to have postal inspectors, IRS agents, ATFE agents, and the FBI among others joining the FAT team if they have relevant jurisdiction over the offenses committed.

Noticed they said nothing about Bass Reeves. One of the greatest, long serving members of the U.S. Marshall’s Service. Bass Reeves was the inspiration for the Lone Ranger. He was the first black U.S. Marshall and apprehended more criminals that any other Marshall serving at that time 1875-1907. When he retired he had captured over 3,000 fugitives. Reeves could speak several Native American languages and was a superior marksman. Bass Reeves was practically a legend because of the way he served the U.S. Marshall’s, in that he never tried to apprehend a fugitive with only violence. He used intellect and savvy, and oftentimes apprehended a fugitive without firing a shot. Reeves was such a feared and respected lawman that he once had a fugitive that voluntarily turned himself in because he had heard Reeves was after him. Once Reeves was on your trail it was only a matter of time before he captured or killed you.
@jamesdick25802 жыл бұрын
note that they didnt talk about specific Marshall's or ones who stood out the most. this was about their history and they talked about who formed them and what the Marshall's do. i'm sure that if they wanted to talk about notable Marshall's that have served over their entire history, this video would have been alot longer.
@travishimebaugh83817 жыл бұрын
So, pop quiz. FBI is investigating some perp for whatever reason, but he catches on to them and hops across state lines just as the Feds collect the evidence to convict. Can the FBI handle pursuit of a fugitive, or does the Marshal Service take it from there? Or do they just both go into it and do their best not to throw each other off?
@georickcastillo48682 жыл бұрын
Well to answer this, it depends upon the fbi lead agent if he/she is going turn over his/her case to the us marshals especially in fugitive recovery and investigations. But in most cases they help each other. Though throwing off each other sometimee happen if theres an arrogant agents and then things will be competitive.

FBI are federal cops under Congress they take care of any criminal activity that crosses state laws . The marshals are under the judicial branch . They are under the courts . 🇺🇸 My Country Feedback 🦅 It's not just that something is wrong. If that was the case, we could fix that and the rest would fall into it's proper place. But it is that everything is wrong at the same time. A whole bundle of things are wrong at the same time That's insane. That's 360 degrees of insane. Public Affairs are insane right now. Private affairs are insane right now. Government Affairs are insane right now. In my hometown of Los Angeles, California it's insane. If someone tries to do anything to make something right, even a Good Samaritan" nobody wants that problem fixed or solved , they want things to keep falling apart, dissolving, crumbling, being ruined, destroyed, desecrated, sabotaged, undone, dissipated, canceled, deleted, disrupted, disordered, disenchanted, disillusioned, iconoclastic, deconstructed. This is my hometown of Los Angeles, California. I am certain that nothing whatsoever is right here. Indifference is spreading. The most pathological indifference is spreading. Pathological indifference. It's havoc. There is nothing right about it. All of my life I have learned the difference and how to distinguish right from wrong by proper discretion and the use of California State Statutory Laws, and the Federal Statutes, and the moral law, values and ideals. But at this point these all seem to have been set aside. Nothing is right. I dissent from Communism, Totalitarianism, and Fascism, and which makes everything into a dystopia. Sincerely, gospelgirl 🇺🇸

Highway Patrol is far more of an actual law enforcement agency. This thug faction (United States Marshals) are so flagrant with facetious criminal activity and cruelty that I can sometimes pick them out while they lie and claim they are camouflaged as undercover. Hardly. This is a fanatical extremist group masquerading as crime fighters. If you want to have a license to be a pampered brat who lives above the law as an untouchable- become a marshal. They in fact practice blatant terrorism against americans inside our homeland. If you like giving people ptsd and hurting them discreetly while lying about it them the United States Marshals is who is an ideal choice. If you want to actually enforce laws and save lives then become highway patrol. In my experience the Marshals are thugs, liars and facetious brats at that.
