The Mark VI Wright Class, is a class of patrol boat in service with the United States Navy, designed to patrol riverine and littoral waters. The class is named for CAPT John Wright SEAL, USN (Ret). CAPT Wright is a former Commanding Officer of both US Navy Special Boat Units (SBU) and the originator of the craft design requirements while assigned to OPNAV N951 Naval Special Warfare.
The first two Mark VI boats were delivered to Coastal Riverine Group TWO in September 2015. Two boats were forward deployed to Bahrain in April 2016, with Coastal Riverine Squadron TWO being the first to operate the craft in the Persian Gulf while assigned under Task Force 56. The Mark VI replaced the less capable Riverine Command Boats previously assigned to Task Force 56. Two craft were delivered to Coastal Riverine Group ONE in 2016 and were subsequently forward deployed to Guam in 2017. A third craft was deployed to Bahrain in 2018 to replace the Coastal Command Boat prototype craft, which was returned to the United States where it was deactivated and placed in long term storage. A third craft was deployed to Guam, rounding out the initial deployment of the craft.

I remember seeing these boats, they zipped past the fishing boat I was on and you could hear the roar of their engines

LMAO, Computer Generated Voices can’t get it right. The boats completed a 500 Nano Meter transit? You meant to say 500 Nautical Mile transit.

5:55 - "500 nanometer" lol. "Okay sir, hold on tight we're going to open her up and she what.... and we've arrived! For comparison, the average human hair would be about 76200 nanometers.. I'm pretty sure a sailor passing gas on the back of the ship would move it more.

I suspect a 500 "nano meters" transit should have been read as 500 Nautical Miles!!

Yes, since a nanometre is one billionth of a meter that would be one heck of a short trip.

@@thomasgalyen6757 unlikely it’s because of rising sea levels .. its most likely because the weight of the islands is too heavy for the underlying natural reefs to support and they are simply subsiding.

Also, China will not go engage in a war of conquest and acquisition to expand its influence. They know they can not match the US and it’s allies, not to mention, they’re not stupid enough to risk mutual destruction with a nuclear conflict. They are playing the long game and will just slowly grow influence through media, political and economic means as well as migration. It’s cheaper for them to buy countries than invade them.
@seanthornton9969
@seanthornton9969 3 жыл бұрын
@@Squashed8Ball I had a pastor friend that was a Navy Intel officer during WW2 and his dream trip was to go to China. He went on the trip and when he came back he told us that China has started preparations for a War with the USA and the west in general. This was 1999. He also said that under their long term strategy it would take 20 to 25 years for them to be ready. Just look at the fact that China now has the largest Navy in the world and are building more warships like crazy. This also includes the fact that China is now putting their second amphibious assault ship through sea trials and building more. China has always considered itself as the "Middle Kingdom" meaning that they as such can do whatever it pleases and the fact that they are claiming the entire South China sea as its own national territory and economic zone. The claim that they are not going to start a war of conquest is naïve at least and suicidal at worst. This is the way that the Biden team and RINO's look at China. The leadership of the US looked at Japan the same way in the late 30's and we ended up fighting Japan "Because they would not seek a war with us because we could use our economic power to control them." The same situation is repeating itself only now it is China. Oh by the way China is currently using the same propaganda against us with its people as the Japanese did before Pearl Harbor, where we are a scourge in the Pacific and we must be put down once and for all like a rabid dog. "Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

The navy actually patrols the WPS contrary to what the critics say. It's just that it isn't publicized to avoid Chinese sanctions and escalating tensions. Most of our ships are too small to go on long patrols. Just going to WPS takes a lot of time. Instead of actually patrolling, much of the time is spent going there and back.

THE ONE MAJOR THING I FEEL ALL THE BOATS AND SHIPS NEED IS A DRONE CAPABLITY TO SCOPE OUT OVER THE HORIZEN EVENTUALITIES AS WELL AS THE DEVICES TO EMPLOY INFRARED AND ACCOUSTIC SERVALINCE. I AM SURE THE BIGGER SHIPS HAVE THE OVER THE HORIZEN CAPABILITY WITHOUT THE NEED OF A RETRIEVABLE DRONE THAT COULD DROP A NICE HUNTER KILLER DEVICE WHEN CALLED FOR RUSSIA, I MEAN CHINA, O WELL MAYBE BOTH.
