Wrong, absolutely wrong that "equality of outcomes" should be pursued. That is not achievable. Different people have different strengths and weaknesses. Some are smarter, some work harder, some are physically better. Presenting an equal opportunity is what can be done. It is dishonest and dishonorable to tell people that equal outcome is possible for everyone. Some make more effort and get to the top but others can strive to a great extent and still fail and those who do not make the effort most certainly do not deserve to reap the same rewards as those who do.

In this example, there's absolutely no reason to let women into the army.

Of the women I served with during my years of service, I have only encountered two females that didn't understand that they weren't going to be removed to "somewhere safe" if the balloon goes up. They were going to have to fight and possible die right alongside us. Now, that said, did I have a young lady moved to a _slightly_ safer spot and have a guy take her place during a moment of hostility? Yes I did, because that was the chivalrous thing to do in the situation. I don't regret doing that nor will I ever apologize for it. She and the other young lady that she was paired with were still in peril, just not directly in the line of fire like the guys.

Let me be straight, when diversity is your only goal you become racist. Just like how you should not strive for success but for value. Yes success and diversity are important but your value is all of it together. If you cheat in a test and get an A you did succeed but you lose value. So the point is diversity should never be anybody’s sole goal as corners will be cut and value will be lost.

Equality and equity are opposites. Equality - Everyone is treated the same. Equity - Some are given a leg up and some are held down. You cant have both at the same time.

The problem with treating everyone EQUALLY it did not have the results the left wanted. African American soldiers could not compete with their white counterparts and consistently scored lower on promotion and rate tests. So when equality did not work they had to change to equity. Where people are promoted because of the color of their skin and nothing else.

People are different and have different strengths - there is equality under the law but anything else is communism. We want to treat people with equity in opportunity.
