Unfortunately, our justice system was created at a time when absolute proof of guilt was almost always impossible. Innocent people were often given horrific punishments in Britain. If the American founders could be brought forward in time and could learn about cameras and livestreams and DNA and all the other ways we can KNOW some people -- like this murderer -- are guilty, I don't think they'd give them the unearned benefit of a trial that only re-traumatizes the survivors and families. When guilt is proven from day one, by so much irrefutable proof, the killer should just be sentenced. Not presumed innocent.

To reduce the mass shootings while demonstrating the 2nd amendment was a fair and just law. They really went out of their way to include the 2nd amendment in their gun charity work. As someone in the service right now. I can't even imagine. You go through hundreds of thousands of dollars of training. Blood sweat and tears. Thinking you can handle the worst of the worst. But you never imagined that there can be a time when you're not there for your loved ones to protect them... I hope you find peace soldier.

Young lady you are far from being a cowered!!! You lost a family member, you where serving us!(thank you for your service to us!) The real cowered is that monster that you are talking to!! I don’t know about others but I do feel your pain. What I don’t understand is why he gets to live when every soul who was lost can’t be with your family! I can understand why you didn’t want to be heard when this happened you where in pain! I pray that you can start healing as well as everyone who lost a loved one! My God truly bless everyone of the families who lost a loved one.

I can’t imagine being so far from home and getting news like this. To make such a sacrifice for not only your own family, but for so many others. Then to have this heinous action committed against a fellow family member. I can’t even begin to imagine. I hope their whole family (and the others) can someday feel some level of even minor healing once the sentencing is complete.

As MoeNight above has stated, it’s a slap in the face to our brave men and women who defend and protect us to have to witness this travesty of a sentence and live it like your family has. You are loved and respected by us always. - a Greenside Corpsman Wounded Warrior and family.
