What a store charges for their goods is their own decision, inflation does not effect that as much as greed.

This guy has it wrong, wealthy people are not downgrading. They are doing just fine. They are the asset holders who seen gains. Yes the economy is bifurcated, however the middle class (or what is left of it) is taking the downgrade. So I expect low-income and high income retailers to do well. Middle class retailers are toast.
