Intro to the Nickelodeon television series U to U that aired from 1994 to 1996. this was taken from my collection. look like no one ever uploaded the intro. so here it is enjoy. its Rare.

I don't think there was a show more ahead of its time than U to U was. This show was the infancy of what we know today as social media.

U to U included short stories and comic strips written by viewers that were turned into animated shorts, and songs that were written and made into music videos. The interaction of series allowed viewers to play games over the phone, ask questions to celebrities, meet pen pals from other countries, and read letters aloud. The show also featured an online presence in the Prodigy Internet service where viewers could create and send content for show consideration as well as participate in bulletin board conversations.

I loved the concept of this show and wanted to participate but had little idea how. I brainstormed with friends but when I finally came up with something good and sent it in I got a letter from the studio stating U to U was no longer in production. very sad

I watched a lot of Nickelodeon in the 80s and 90s, like any 80s kid, but I have no recollection of this at all. But by 1994 I was in my early teens so I guess it might have been just past the end of my Nickelodeon days.

They were trying to do a show like this before the internet was really in wide use by kids. The opening still had a stamped letter. Hard to use UGC if that's all you got.

They were really ahead of their time with this--I loved seeing videos of how kids in different cultures lived everyday----now with the internet and facetiming this would be great to bring back!

I for one was suprised to find out that this show had such a short run especially considering that nick.com didn't come to be until after the show was already canceled in 1996
