Another video for the song When Love Comes To Town, not the one shown in the Rattle&Hum movie =) I really like this video, there are many little (funny) moments in it, enjoy ^^

I was working in Vegas as a casino shift manager in '04 and was lucky to run into BB on Xmas Eve. When I shook his hand, it was like touching silk...I offered him and his daughter dinner but he declined and instead offered joining him at dinner....BB is an absolute first class act. When I asked him what it was like working with Bono on this song, he just smiled and said Bono was a "Nice boy" ... I cherish that night for the laughs he gave me and for being in the presence of pure talent....

I just heard this on a classic rock station when they were talking about BB King's death this morning. I always respected BB but never really listened to his music before. Even as a U2 fan I don't remember this song either, but now I really see why this man was such a legend. He was what 62 or 63 here and rocking out, that's pretty impressive.

I was a sailor, I was lost at sea I was under the waves Before love rescued me I was a fighter, I could turn on a thread Now I stand accused of the things I've said Love comes to town I'm gonna jump that train When love comes to town I'm gonna catch that flame Maybe I was wrong to ever let you down But I did what I did before love came to town I used to make love under a red sunset I was making promises I was soon to forget She was pale as the lace of her wedding gown But I left her standing before love came to town I ran into a juke joint when I heard a guitar scream The notes were turning blue, I was dazing in a dream As the music played I saw my life turn around That was the day before love came to town When love comes to town I'm gonna jump that train When love comes to town I'm gonna catch that flame Maybe I was wrong to ever let you down But I did what I did before love came to town I was there when they crucified my Lord I held the scabbard when the soldier drew his sword I threw the dice when they pierced his side But I've seen love conquer the great divide When love comes to town I'm gonna catch that train When love comes to town I'm gonna catch that flame Maybe I was wrong to ever let you down But I did what I did before love came to town

When I first heard this song I was just driving along with my kids and neighbor kids in the car and I was so struck I pulled over and told the kids to be quiet and cranked it up. I couldn't even drive I was so spellbound. I love this song . That was about in 1994 or 5. Good memories not only of the song but the times as well. ❤️

BB King was fantastic to see live. Great musician, and always had some very funny stories to introduce his songs live. Saw him twice and will never forget it. Once when I was 18 in 1988. One of the best. U2 mixes with him well here.

My Dad wore many hats in his life.... military in Air Force/navy... civilian cop... hot dog vender with a masters degree.... valet at a casino getting his phd. He spent his last years as a teacher in special education at a North Gulfport school. He loved his students... kids thrown away.. my Dad reached these children and they reached into him.... BUT.. my Dad was an insurance agent off and on for many years... he went to the service of an African American customer.... a white face in the crowd and he LOVED the send off this woman got... singing gospel and dancing with all... my Dad came home that day and told me he wanted his service in an AA church and told me to date women of African decent... we gave my Dad a good wake... full of ZZ Top, Rnb, but I failed him... I should have taken his remains to an AA church. You see, when my Dad died, he had been a born again Christian for many years... not an athiest like he was years ago. Mom still hates religion but has faith... belief... maybe because of me. FGS copyright 9/12/2017
