Saw them in a small club in Madison, WI. in 1981. I knew they’d be big. After the show, all the band members came out to sign autographs, I still have my ticket with all their signatures. How cool was that?

I was born on 81, and remember the early 90's as the best times listening to 80's. This song brings back deep memories of my alone adventures in the wilderness, trying to find a point in living this life. I played alot of u2 and simple minds music on a walk man during these times. In 2005 I finally figured it out, and decided that life is worth living

I was 2 years old. Nothing in the world like the 80's. It was a fantastic time to be a kid. I didn't get into music until I was about five, that was 1985, I had a keen ear for sound and good music. So I remember this song, even though I didn't hear it until years later. But it was so catchy.

Now I’m really smiling! You too? U2 is really quite a brilliant band and I’ve loved their music for many many years but I remember one time I was in the New Year’s party and I met this nice man I think he might’ve been Polish or something but he was a golf attendant at a local golf course and he told me that there was something about Zen and golfing well he was a poet too now what’s pretty interesting is he was from the 60s generation and he told me once that he saw some sort of UFO way back in the day or something and I don’t think it was because he was getting high. He was pretty intelligent guy, but he might’ve actually had a UFO experience and I can’t judge him for that but I know that people do have those experiences often sometimes but yeah I’m not sure if I believe in UFOs or not I kind of am a good paranormal investigator and I do know some excellent people in that field but it’s hard to say what’s really going on , but I do understand that something is out there. And it should be remembered that that is a worldwide phenomenon and I’m not some crazy UFO contactee or anything like that

This would actually be the only time Edge played this song on a Les Paul until the Popmart tour some 15 years later! After the Popmart tour he smartly switched back and stuck with his signature Explorer.
