I love your message, and I take it to heart-As for this U2 performance: this is one of the most powerful clips I have ever seen by any band, EVER. This is epic beyond words. What pure, unadulterated talent these guys have. SPECTACULAR!!!

Such a contrast between the two songs. I've loved U2 since "Boy", I listened to the October album incessantly during my last year at uni, and here I am all these years later, still loving them. The world is a strange confusing place, and lots of people hate Bono/U2, go figure, but even more are blown away. I'm Irish, not religious, but I love and respect the sheer love of, and understanding of, the human race shown in their music and lyrics. Go guys go. The lyrics of Bullet very much put me in mind of another hero Bruce Cockburn and his epic song "If I had a rocket launcher"....

maybe once [1983] U2 - SUNDAY BLOODY SUNDAY (live Rattle And Hum, 1988) Bono is really mad.

This version is one of the best. The added lyrics with an older Bono having a discourse with his younger self is very powerful and honest. 'Have you forgotten who you are? You're Irish, but here you are smiling and acting with the powerful like you're really here for the powerless'. Very self critical and ' I feel like a fraud but I know that I'm not' an acknowledgement of his own criticism towards his activism and how he balances that while being a Rock Star and the contradictions that brings. It incorporates the theme that Songs of Innocence was exploring about looking back at the past and delving in deeper to see what shaped them in their youth. The conflict known as the troubles in Northern Ireland and Ireland is also a theme here and is throughout that album also. A superb version with maybe more meaning than the original version.

Bono totally changed the lyrics to the latter part of the song . He turned it into a conversation with his young self , what would an 18 year old Bono say to a 60 year old Bono. What would a young Bono say to an old Bono , would he like what he became? I saw it live a few times unbelievable

While the lyrics speak for themselves, it's amazing how the Edge's guitar is fearful and wailing, Larry's drumming is angry, and Adam's bass is dark and weary. They represent the suffering and the poor. Bono represents the powerful who do the right thing and give those people a voice

I wish YTers playing these videos would expand the video larger and switch themselves to the smaller one in the corner. At least while the video is playing. On another note U2 is one of the best bands in history.

You might want to check out some of U2's other songs as they have over 14 studio albums; and have been going for over 400 years. Oh and also they happen to have sold more live than any other band in history. The Joshua Tree (1987) is one of the fastest selling albums of all time and is big in America but was gigantic in the late 80's/early 90's. Achtung Baby (1991) is probably U2's best album.

What do you mean "nooooo" (paraphrasing the number of "o"s)? That version of Sunday Bloody Sunday is one of the most powerful anti-terrorism statements ever made by way of a beautiful piece of music and an honest emotional reaction to a tragic event in the news.
