Their tokyo dome multi-level stage was always my favorite. The most epic stage I have ever seen.

Excellent reaction and insight into some of the Legends mentioned. Is it just a coincidence that Roko mentions how Mick Jagger performed to everyone right to back . This is something Su does if you notice she surveys the whole audience. Their is fancam footage of Su looking straight at someone and smiling or, as in Austin on the 2018 US tour, a death stare with a smile as she turned away at the end of Akatsuki the fan said they nearly dropped their camera when she did 😮. 😂

Some differences to notice: - Makuhari Messe: Eastern or Japanese Kami Band, only two of them performing with more stage performers and drone shots - PIA Arena MM: Western Kami Band, full trío performance, more cool shots and different stage although similar costume with the same setting.

Always a fun reaction with your friend Rocko. I have an FYI for you though. This is just my opinion but. If you looked closely at this stage set-up there are actually three thrones up there. The Metal Kingdom Live Clear NIght PIA Arena 2023 has all three of the ladies Su, Moa and Momo. The crowd is vastly more present adding their energy. The stage set-up is different but still grand perhaps grander. Please consider watching it for your own entertainment. I think this performance just has far more power and in its way is just MORE Babymetal. Nice job to you and Rocko and enjoy this performance. I was at both shows and I can tell you that at Babymetal Returns, the crowd was in awed silence because what we were seeing was brand new so we didn't really know what to do yet, and everyone was a bit apprehensive because it was the first show in so long. By the time we got to Clear Night, we knew what to expect and were able to get right into it, plus the energy of Clear Night was pure celebration.

Great reaction, and a great example of an epic Babymetal stage! My only gripe with this particular concert as a whole is how little screen time the Kami Band got. Don’t get me wrong, it was an epic performance all around. Luckily, they were shown much more in the following show (Babymetal Begins).

The whole scene is even more impressive than this cut for the MV. All the dancers walk slowly on the catwalk toward the door, with their staffs, in silence and almost darkness, with pulsing lights over them, tracing the path foreward and a ripetitive, daunting low sound, it's reminiscent of something from Dune. Then the door slowly opens and a strong ray of light illuminate the path, as the thrones appear and are brought forward, you can't see who is sitting on them. Then the Foxes Door closes again and ... it begins. It's a classic example of how to achieve such a theatrical effect with very little indeed. 🤘🦊⚡

I think the majority of BABYMETAL freaks are fed up with the teenage-centric reaction they've been getting. You should know that BABYMETAL's current beautiful image of professionalism is true🤘

Don't believe all the bad news media. Ladies have plenty of security & at events like these. Especially at arena shows that is definitely more the case. I wish we could experience the kind of shows you do in Japan. It must be an amazing experience. However, we do take heed to your request. We will do our best to fullfill that promise. Great to see Rocko back! I don't have much to say. I just wanted to mention that the "runway" or "catwalk" as someone else called it is actually modelled after a hanamichi, just ignoring its usual measurement. The hanamachi is a typical stage part of the kabuki theatre (since the 17th century) and as such found its way to Europe through the theatre of the absurd (late 19th century), a mostly French movement that took a lot of inspiration from Asian theatre. Through European theatre it then ventured on to America, but as far as I know it never became very popular there. That it's not just a piece of stage and that the director actually meant for it to be perceived as a hanamichi is visible through its usage as an entry and exit point with more dramatic parts taking place at the shichisan where characters typically directly address the audience. The whole choreography between Su and Moa takes place at this point. Even though a lot of the audience members probably didn't pick up on that and western fans do so even less I think it's beautiful to see how some traditions and ideas are being integrated into modern shows with the same intend and effect they have/had in their original settings. The past is not something that was but it's the sum of things that make our present.

Hmmm... that song was very impressive because we came back from the covid time plus a year hiatus where we didn't know a word or anything about the ladies; nearly three years of inactivity even with lots of rumors about disbanding. We did not even know how they looked now. Then the shows where announced, the tune started, and bam, the focus is on Su on she is there singing in the throne. Imagine how it felt for the fans that were on the show. On meaning, the song feels like an anthem, a leader speech before the next track both in the show and in the albums, Divine Attack. And yeah that drone shots are great because they hired the japanese drone competition champion to record the show as the drone operator xD You can see the drone flying in the middle of the retinue like nothing.

Three years? Hardly that. Finished 10 BABYMETAL Budokan in April 2021. Divine Attack comes out Oct 2022. Teasers before that. BABYMETAL weren’t gone very long at all it only seemed that way. lol.

This is one of my favorite BabyMetal songs The only thing keeping it out of my top five is it's a bit too repetitive but I don't mind that because this is also one of my favorite(top three) Su vocal tracks She sounds so aggressive here

Yea, their DVD BlurRay performance of this had the live audio feed. Same video feed mostly with some extra drone shots & better stage positioning i think. This is still a great performance & loved the Games Of Thrones feel but if you want to see it how it was seen live in Japan. Should pick up the Blu-ray release as it will blow your mind. Su-Metal is on a different level & really at her best when she is live & in person as i can attest. Still a lot of other epic stage set performances, and since U2 is known for that as well. ________________________________________ I think they would appreciate it. 2016 Tokyo Dome performances were definitely pretty epic. 110,000 people over the 2 day performance. A giant trangle had them moving around the arena, which would have been unnerving for me lol. Yet ladies did it without a second thought & were completely fearless!! The stage set on this was crazy & I would have loved to see it live. Other noteworthy stage performances were of coarse Rondo of Nightmare Mischiefs of Metal Gods. _____________________________________________ Which was also from 2016. Along with Tales Of Destinies, which i think has only been performed live once. It was a homage to Dream Theatre"s Dance of Eternity. In it's 108 time signature changes here. So no wonder they only performed this one but was epic as f****. U2 also had some pretty amazing firsts of their own. Having been the first band to perform at the Sphere in Vegas. That would be the perfect venue for a Babymetal show, i would think. 🤘🦊🔥

The connection between this band and their Japanese audience, is not what it appears to be. You are missing the most important point about Baby Metal. The lead vocals of this band is the crowd. The entire production, top to bottom, is to get the crowd to perform at its best. The crowd needs to chant, sing, and dance as one. The band refers to the crowd as "The One". The One needs to perform to invoke a Fow God. If you watch enough introductions to their songs, they spell this out for you. The only place in the states where you can see this is church. Psalms is the crowd performing for the church. That what this bands performances are, in Japan. The crowds at these shows are at church. Fox Gods have been worshipped throughout Asia for 1200 years at least.
