I'm sure that she's a nice girl, but rumor has it that she's going to every single show on the tour, on top of the fact that she's been "randomly picked" from the crowd multiple times before (you can see her on their Paris DVD from the last tour). I've seen U2 10 times before; love 'em to death; but, some of these super fans kinda weird me out...... especially when the band is playing a near identical setlist every night. Seriously, I saw them in NYC in 2015, and I swear that the girl whom Bono "randomly" plucked from the crowd is the same as from their Chicago Vertigo tour DVD.

I thought the girl in Paris on the last tour was an Italian, Caucasian. I remember hearing that she had won a fan contest with a group of people and that she was selected by the group to go onstage.

The more I think about it, recurring fans on stage might work better if they have proven not to get nervous and create awkward moments that could slow down the show. But, in all fairness, they should try to work in as many fans as possible.

Joseph Muir Dude. I completely agree. They are psychotic

Erwin Quiachon in the Paris DVD from their last tour, they brought something close to a dozen people on stage, all who had been pulled up on stage at previous dates on that same tour (it was advertised on U2 dot com). With that said, Paris was at least her second time, thus this show here is at least her third time.

Erwin Quiachon while that may be U2's rationale, that doesn't make it wholly rational. If anything, it makes it paranoid. On that same Paris DVD, remember the dude whom Bono plucked up for City Of Blinding Lights? The dude looked like he was fucking mental.

Jason Speth what? They still sound amazing. One of the best bands in the history of rock and roll.
@jasonspeth24147 жыл бұрын
Tim Wireman Yes, they are one of the best bands in Rock History. America Pharoah was one of the best horses in Triple Crown history. Sometimes you have to hit the stud farm my friend. It's a money grab. U2 hasn't been relevant in YEAR'S. Stop already.

Jason Speth just sold a world tour out but in your words they're 'not relevant' ok mate
@erwinquiachon80547 жыл бұрын
How can you play to this many people, set attendance records, get nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, and be irrelevant? If you don't understand their music, say so. But, that only makes you irrelevant. At this point they don't need the money. But money is the only way of keeping score that the ignorant will understand, because the ignorant never grasp artistic merit. We will never see a band this big ever again. You never stop while you dominate your profession. That's like telling Tom Brady to retire because he wins too much.
