I agree. Bono was soon to lose his voice for circa 10 years and they got hit more than most with the 96 decibel crap. With or without you in Dublin 93 is the loudest sing I've ever heard live, and I've heard KISS in a 12k arena. People dont realise how loud U2 were in this period. It led to them being sued loads of times for damaging peoples ears

the sustained A note played on a synth has such an ominous tone then it is taken over briefly by the ripping guitar sound , always liked the sustain on the A note front and center

RDS outdoor arena.famously used 4 horse show jumping.was the venue in 86 for the self aid benefit concert (well worth a look here on utube) for Irelands then unemployed.... the capacity was only 30000.problem was staging concerts in Ireland during this period was becoming increasingly difficult because of the countries laws regarding planning permission for such events.anyway,the shows very incredible
